688 Tasting Notes
Having tea in the Grand Canyon with dragons is fun. The leaves smell so nicely like strawberry. There is more of a floral scent in the brew. I get a light, sweet berry flavour, with floral notes and a mild hint of cream. Better than I remember. Still tastes like Spring.
Thanks to Teavivre for the sample.
Flavors: Creamy, Floral, Strawberry
My sample was in the box went I went on my walk this afternoon. Oh my, this smells so good. A rose garden with hints of cocoa. There is a sweet floral flavour, and chocolate notes. I get a slight yam taste as well. Overall, fantastic.
Thanks Teavivre. :)
Flavors: Chocolate, Cocoa, Floral, Rose, Yams
My samples arrived pretty quickly. At about the same time as my DVD from Texas, actually. The leaves have that pretty gold hue. There is lovely yam scent, with a bit of sweetness. It has a mostly sweet potato flavour, with hints of honey. I need to try more later to see how well it goes with historical Chinese movies. Because science?
Thanks to 3 Leaf for this sample. :)
Flavors: Honey, Sweet Potatoes, Yams
Why do the Star Trek writers call the 19th century ancient? Anyway, having coffee for a week only made me want more tea. The dry leaves have a scent of cocoa and sweet potatoes, but I get some smoke in the brew. There is a bit of a raisin and caramel flavour, with grain and nut notes. Overall, it tastes like I kinda want pie.
Flavors: Cocoa, Grain, Nuts, Sweet Potatoes

I’ll be there and I’ll have tea!
Tea! Earl Grey! Hot! (I would have tea with Picard, if he asked. Or Patrick Stewart.)
There is a nice creamy, bergamot scent. The flavour is vanilla/ citrus. Not too strong, and a little the sweet side. Goes well with brownies and Star Trek episodes.
This was a sample, so I’ll have to get more.
Flavors: Bergamot, Cream, Vanilla
Tea, the final frontier! These are the voyages of the Starship Teakettle.
So, I am back home now. After a week of drinking coffee, it’s nice to have tea again. This smells like malt and cocoa. There is a nice malty flavour as well. Watching the very first Star Trek- TNG episode. Q is pretty amusing.
Flavors: Chocolate, Cocoa, Malt
Having this in attempt to sip down my Butiki teas. (Even though I have about five ounces opened.) This still has that kinda honey and yam scent. The flavour is sweet potato, with a bit of malt. Good post- breakfast tea.
Will probably have a cup in the evening when I go look for meteors.
Flavors: Honey, Malt, Yams
Decided to have this tea iced. There is a nice scent of nutmeg and cream. The flavour (with a little added brown sugar) is almost like pumpkin pie. It’s creamy with spices, and I even get some of the pumpkin. Autumn is next month, so it’s almost the right season.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Creamy, Nutmeg, Pumpkin, Spices
I’ve been hoarding this almost since I move here. It smells mostly like chocolate, and some fruit. Decided to make it iced. There is a pasty flavour, with raspberries and cocoa. Not sure if I really get waffle, it’s more like a croissant. Might have sweetened it a little much, but it tastes like a nice dessert. Brewing it hot, I get more raspberry.
Flavors: Chocolate, Cocoa, Fruity, Pastries, Raspberry
I recall liking this one a bit. The strawberry was not too strong…just a hint. So nice. :)
