This tea is so lovely! I love the smell of pantene shampoo, and other delicious shampoos. This tea tastes like how I would imagine lovely shampoo would taste (so weird! I know) I drink it hot and straight-up. Its has such a well rounded flavour; there isn’t one fruit or other component that overpowers another. When its brewed its of a deep blue/purple colour, which is equally lovely. This tea is a new favourite! I love it so much I’ve already been through my 50g sample I bought, and have just ordered 250g online (gotta stock pile before its gone! Its limited edition)

I must try this as a cold brew!

Im not a person who like rooibos, but I do enjoy this tea! However, I do not drink this tea on a regular occurrence. This is my go to tea when I’m c raving something exceptionally sweet. I don’t know if I would say this tastes like a piece of birthday cake though. I tastes very creamy, sweet and vanilla. It does have a slightly artificial taste, so be warned.

When I make this, it is hot with a bit extra sweetner than a normal person would put in… sweet tooth cravings are some serious business!

Here I am, its 9:00pm and wanting some Read My Lips. Desperately wanting to be able to sleep tonight, I have grabbed Mint Chocolate Rooibos instead. It taste exactly what the title says. Mint. Chocolate. Rooibos. This tea is ok (more minty, than chocolatey) nothing to run home to mommy about though… maybe it’s because Im a person who is not a fan of rooibos teas in general. There is just something about a rooibos base that tastes so stale and artificial to me… strange, I know. Alas here I am drinking it… dreaming of morning time when I can indulge in Read My Lips.

This tea has so much potential! I am a person who absolutely loves anything with a peppermint flavour. However I find that this tea has quite an astringency which is really surprising “candy cane” tea. I want to love this tea so badly, however I don’t! I seem to always get a headache whenever I drink this… which is a strange side effect. I don’t get a headache with any other tea I own, so I have no idea why this one is different. I’ve only drank this tea hot… I really can’t imagine trying to drink this as an Iced Tea or cold brew! I think it would loose its Christmas charm. I still have faith in this tea, so I think I will try this as a latte next. Maybe that will help out with the astringency and the headache side effect.

This is one of my newer additions to my cupboard. I was able to get 25g of it on a Valentine’s Day Special for free! Who doesn’t like free tea?!

I have a hard time with chocolate teas because I usually find them tasting like really really really watery chocolate, which isn’t overly appetizing, especially when you a girl who frequently seeks out any piece of chocolate in my house. However, I really like this tea! It’s very true to a mint chocolate tea. It is much better than my Mint Chocolate Rooibos from DAVIDsTEA, I think it’s because I hate rooibos. You are still able to taste a bit of the black tea despite the strong chocolate mint flavour which is awesome! I’ve only tried it hot so far, but I have tried it straight and with a touch of sweetener (for those unbearable strong sweet tooth cravings) and it is excellent either way! I have yet to try it as a latte, but I have a feeling that it will be delicious.

I purchased this tea on a whim. Despite being allergic to tree nuts (mildly to most, quite severely to almonds) I still tough through it and can usually down half of a cup of this before I can’t stand it anymore and am forced by a mild allergy to stop.

You can definitely taste pistachio, cream, mulberry with a hint of chamomile. It is so perfectly balanced! There isn’t one flavour like over powers another, they are equally perfect in the flavour orgy that this tea is! I have only had this hot, but I’ve had it straight, with honey, with agave and as a latte and it seems to be awesome no matter how it is prepared…. If only I can drink more of it!

Ahhh, I want to love this tea, but I don’t! Its pretty true to it’s name, it smells very strongly of honey bush, and honey and I love mate, so this is a combination that I should not get enough of, but alas…I find this tea freaking brutally gross, and I think its because I’m partially allergic to it. ( I tend to sneeze and my eyes itch when the steam makes contact). I made the mistake of buying 4oz of it, and I think it will sit in my cupboard until I not longer feel guilty about throwing it out. It really is too strong in the honey bush department and quite sweet. I have even tried to mix it with other fruity teas to try to find a combination that is bearable, but I can’t! Honey bush takes over every thing. I haven’t even tried to cold steep, because I don’t think it will be worth it… it will always and forever be gross.

I have to be honest, I’m not a fan of this tea on its own (I often mix it with Hot Lips for a powerful punch). I do appreciate that it is true to its smell and what you expect. It is a cinnamon pu’reh with a touch of orange. I think it’s because I’m not a fan of pu’reh teas. I often find they taste like 4 month old aquarium water, and who wants to drink cinnamon flavoured aquarium water? There is clove in this tea, however I smell it more than I am able to taste it. Again, I could not imagine this tea cold…. Blah!

MmmmMMmmmm….

This is one hell ‘ova spicy tea, but oh lordy I do love it! This is the tea, that introduced my to the realm of tea. I especially love that it is packed with tons of health benefits (Green Tea, Pepper, Chili, Cinnamon, etc.). Drinking this mean your going to get a butt-kicking kidney cleanse, as well as shed a tiny bit of water weight. This tea quite literally tastes like melted cinnamon heart candy with a little more spice (thanks to the chili flake/threads). I really can’t describe my love affair with this tea. I have only drank this tea hot and with a touch of agave (to really get the cinnamon candy taste)… I really can’t imagine trying this cold because I have a feeling it would lead to wasted tea and a break up.

This has also been one of the few green teas that I find nearly impossible to burn. I have a feeling the cinnamon hides any bitterness if burning does happen

PS If you want a cinnamon tea that really packs a punch, mix this with cinnamon heart (also by DAVIDsTEA) and add creamed honey with cinnamon… this is not for the weak, but it is a great morning brew or after spending hours in the cold.

Oh Sweet Strawberry… Once upon a time I used to work for DAVIDsTEA (It was short lived, but I still am a faithful DAVIDsTea purchaser… Retail is not for me. It quite literally is like hell on earth). As I was about to leave, I, of course, had to do a mass shopping spree. Now this was taunting me and decided since I was getting at my discount I would buy it anyway. As I was getting my manager to weigh it out, she was crinkling her nose, and looking at it in a dirty diaper-esk way. She said she hated it because it tasted like a tomato… I had to agree that a tomato tea would be completely off putting. Regardless, I bought it.

I can see how she would say tomato because it has a tangy smell, but it does taste like strawberries, but not strawberry in a sense that you would imagine when drinking strawberry juice. It taste like a natural strawberry (berry, tangy, fresh). There is a hint of grass from the white tea base, but I actually quite like it. I have only had it hot with a touch of agave (to cut a bit of the tang), I would imagine that this would make an nice iced tea as well. I’ll keep you posted when I am able to try it iced. (Im in canada and its -30 celcius, so iced is not in the near future… give it a few months, hahaha)

Growing up, I hated tea. Everything about it from the way it smelt to the way it looked absolutely repulsed me. Until one fateful day, I walked past DAVIDsTEA and accepted one of the samples they they to force down your throat. The clouds opened, and the tea angels sang a heavenly tea song. I was addicted. My tea cupboard of wonder contains 63 different teas, and its growing daily. I do not have a tea base preference because when I’m craving a cuppa, I let the cupboard beckon me, and let fate decide. My tea cupboard is nearly famous, since most people ask to marvel it. However, the rules of the cupboard are: you do not talk about the cupboard, you DO NOT talk about the tea cupboard… and its strictly look, don’t touch. My tea cupboard is organized by base, then alphabetized under each category. Some call it crazy, but I call it AMAZING (and maybe a little OCD)
