drank Candy Cane by Teeccino

I dragged this one out for as long as I could, but sadly I’ve reached the bottom of the bag so this is a sipdown. I did send it out in style though, as an oat milk latte with an apple cider donut. This is probably one of my favorite Teeccino blends! Great dupe for a coffee shop peppermint latte.

drank Toffee Banana Honeybush by 52teas

Another very enjoyable recent sipdown. I like the banana flavor in this blend – something between the fruit and the candy flavor. Now I kind of want banana everything from 52teas!

I’m wayyyy behind on tasting notes, including a bunch of sipdowns, so going to try to catch up over the next few days. I’m glad I got to sipdown this blend while it was still good. It’s another one that I prioritized because I didn’t want the coconut in it to go bad. As usual, made this as an oat milk latte and enjoyed it. It was a little less sweet than usual though – possibly I oversteeped it or the flavor was starting to fade unevenly.

Sipdown. Astoundingly, this is still good even though I’ve had it for at least six years. Such good maple syrup aroma and flavor, with a bit of nuttiness to make it interesting. I miss A Quarter to Tea!

drank Oolong Fresh by T2

I got a migraine earlier today. Definitely suboptimal in the middle of the day when I still have a lot of work to do. So I immediately jumped into treatment mode – meds, lowering the lights, the whole deal. And I chose this tea to help. I’ve said before that I think the mint is way too strong, and I’m still sticking to that. But what it is useful for is being part of my migraine treatment plan. The intense mintiness helps relieve the pain a bit. Purely utilitarian, but sometimes that’s ok. Not every tea serves the same purpose.

Second sipdown of the day! Another coconut blend finished off before it could go bad. This makes such a phenomenal iced tea. This time I made it hot but mostly drank it after it had gone cold. I did overbrew the second steep by about twenty minutes, so there was a bit of dryness in the aftertaste, but that’s very obviously a result of user error. Brewed correctly, I found this to consistently be smooth, sweet, and creamy, with a big hit of coconut up front and a hint of pineapple tartness on the tail end. Hopefully this comes back next summer!

Another sipdown! I grabbed this from the Strange VariaTea TTB, so big thanks to whoever put it in there. I’m trying not to let teas with coconut in them sit around for too long so the coconut doesn’t have time to turn. Definitely hard to say goodbye to this one. It’s creamy, just the right level of sweet, and the coconut flavor is spot on. A possible restock for sure once I get my stash better under control.

Sad sipdown! Courtney generously sent me a sample of this. I loved it every time. It’s just such a perfectly sweet and juicy mulberry blend. Would totally restock this.

Sipdown! Thanks again to Courtney for sending me some of this! The sweet florals here are really hitting the spot today. I got a second steep out of the leaves but I may have steeped too long. The second steep was still good but definitely with a stronger bergamot note than the first.

Single-serving sipdown. I think this came with last year’s advent calendar? I’m not entirely sure how it came to be in my possession. I am sure that “carcadet” is really fun to say, so automatic points for that. This tastes like creamy raspberry jam. Like the filling in raspberry cookies, with an added creamy quality. The cream element is more pronounced when it’s hot, I think – as it cools, the creaminess fades into the background a bit. Would happily have this again.
