78 Tasting Notes
Pleasantly surprised on this one. A delicious floral-y cheesecake flavor that blends well without tasting artificial. I want to play around a bit with the amount of tea & steep times. Glad I bought an oz.
I need to reign myself in a bit and start to sip down my stash – in the long run my heart ultimately lies with high quality straight teas but the flavored ones are just too darn hard to pass up sometimes. I would buy this one again.
Flavors: Butter, Cheesecake, Cream, Gardenias
Preparation
I scored a box of the sachets with all of the DT 2017 “Harvest Collection” and honestly-I like most of the collection which surprises me. Love the wild strawberry & the pear blossom too. The current wellness line is meh.
I am having this hot right now…I added the smallest amount of Torani vanilla syrup- yum. The carrot is not overpowering like it is in the turmeric glow. So this gets a thumbs up!
Flavors: Carrot, Flowers, Ginger, Hibiscus, Orange, Pumpkin
Preparation
This tea is a complex one. Extremely smooth. The base is excellent. Though honestly I kept waiting for the spearmint and or the cooling sensation to show up and it really never did for me…if there, it is extremely subtle.
Sometimes our taste buds can be off so I do plan to give it another try shortly —so stay tuned.
Everything I have had from Brenden at Whispering Pines has been worthwhile.
Flavors: Caramel, Cocoa, Grapes, Honey, Raisins, Tree Fruit
Preparation
Just chiming in here, but you may want to reduce the water temperature a bit and see if that reveals anything else. In my experience, that seems to bring out some of the more herbal qualities in many black teas. I think I brewed this one at 195 F if memory serves.
Meh, I am disappointed with this one. It’s not terrible by any means but just nothing special. Too astringent, too much orange… Harney & Sons EG Supreme is so much better.
So what is your favorite Earl?
Flavors: Astringent, Bergamot, Lavender, Orange
Preparation
EG Supreme is a great one, and their new Victorian London Fog as well. I loved Nina’s Earl Grey before they switched from the Keemun base to the Ceylon base, but other Steepsterites loved it just as well with Ceylon. The O Dor has an awesome one. My daughter loves EG much more than I do. For me it has to be JUST RIGHT.
I have the Victorian London Fog. It’s nice but I prefer the EG supreme. Have not tried The O Dor yet so I’ll have to put it on the wish list.
I am on quest…to find the best earl grey. A lovely combo of black tea and white silver tips. Mmmm….bergamot. Very smooth & comforting. This one is kept both at home & at my office.
This one is delicious but it still makes me wonder if there is yet a better one out there still. Teople, if you think you have found the best, please share!
Flavors: Bergamot, Citrus, Creamy, Floral, Lemon

Sipping down another sample.
So this is a good chai. A bit heavy on the cloves. Base is decent. I keep thinking it needs something. I may try adding a pinch of brown sugar or a squeeze of fresh orange. Overall, a decent chai- not too spicy.
Flavors: Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves, Ginger, Pepper
Preparation
Sipping this one down as I write this. This is a jasmine oolong with a dark amber liqueur. Much too late in the day for medium caffeine, but it is so delicious & I am already pondering re-steeping☺️. Definitely worth adding a sample on to an order from Art of Tea. If you are a jasmine fan I recommend this one…
Flavors: Floral, Jasmine, Peach, Wet wood
Preparation
I scored a big bag at 75% off when Teavana closed it’s doors. Glad I did. I plan to compare side by side to Harney & Sons GM.
This is malty, smooth, and sweet with cocoa notes and a dry finish. Delicious.
Flavors: Cocoa, Malt, Sweet

I did a side by side a few eyars back of those two. I preferred Harney to this one. It will be interesting to see your opinion! Have you tried either of Teavivre’s GM’s?
I just made 1st Teavivre order- did not include the GM but if I like what I chose then I will add that one on next time…I still have a lot of GM to sip down!
Excellent! I have never been disappointed by Teavivre and I have given a lot of it for gifts and other people seem to like it, too. I hooe you love everything you ordered! I will be doing a side by side comparison of two of their teas that I haven’t tried yet as soon as my order gets here.
Green teas are not my usual jam but this one is not bad at all. I got it as a sample in my DT order. I recommend a short steep time to avoid bitterness. This one definitely has a tropical flair. It’s sweet enough you don’t need to add anything. Next time I will try it iced. Not one I’d personally keep in my cupboard but was happy to try it.
Flavors: Floral, Fruity, Passion Fruit, Pineapple, Tropical

There has been so much written about this tea I doubt I really have much to add. I was hoping to love it more than I do. This is a traditional Dian Hong black tea that was WILD-PICKED from the remote mountains of southern Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China. Oooh… wild picked is pretty awesome in and of itself.
The leaves are beautiful golden, downy, and soft. They smell like sweet malt chocolate and graham crackers. The liquor is extremely smooth and brews up a tan rusty orange color. The scent of the brewed leaves is sweet and light. I am surprised by the different tastes each steep brings. I tried the short quick steeps as suggested on the Verdant website but personally felt it needed more time. This is WAY LIGHTER than most blacks. Too light for my taste buds so quite honestly wishing I did not buy so much.
Made me ponder if the “Original” Golden Fleece was a cut above the current one being sold…
Flavors: Apple, Chocolate, Graham, Malt, Sweet Potatoes, Vanilla
