This is a tad too vegetal for me but still quite good. This was a sample included in a recent order. I really enjoy Verdant Tea offerings.
FYI, on a separate side note

Delicious…yummy in a cup. A nice balance of flavors. One of the better dessert teas I have tried. It does not have a nutmeg flavor so much as a custardy flavor. I actually made this in my travel press this morning.

Flavors: Cake, Cinnamon, Cream, Custard, Eggnog

Trying to sip down some teas I need to part with. This one is ok- though chai teas are not my particular favorite. I think I may need to try this one as a latte to give it a fair review. I think my taste buds could still be off from having the flu so I am saving my better straight teas for when I’m feeling back to normal. I made this in my DT tea press and it kept me warm on the way to work…only 9 degrees this am. February & March are such dreary months in my neck of the woods. Hope you all have a great day.

I am super disappointed over this one. I was hoping for a lot better considering the reviews and that it was low to no caffeine and thought it would be a nice treat for after dinner.
This is just barely ok for me. The base is blah, the vanilla flavor was meh… there is just not anything special about this tea.

Is it loose leaf or sachet? I found the sachets very disappointing but the loose leaf quite good.

Hmmm, ok…it was loose but will give it another try because my taste buds may still be off

One Steepsterite used to swear that it was better if you store it upside down because there are lots of vanilla bean specks and it keeps them more evenly distributed. You could give it a try! I hope it will work out better for you. I can tell you, though, that Green Hot Cinnamon is most definitely different than it used to be and does not have nearly the kick it used to have. I hope Vanilla Comoro hasn’t changed. I bought the sachets at Target and gave the tin to my daughter who doesnt really care what she drinks while studying. It just wasn’t the same.

Jlvintagelove

good tip! Thx!

I kinda felt the same but you have to consider that most decafs are that way. I am personally still looking for good everyday decafs and unless Vanilla Comoro grows on me -I still have about 90g of it after all – I will have to look elsewhere.

Well I am happy to report I survived the dreaded influenza. I’ve been down & out for a couple of weeks. This tea is helping me join the human race again. A nice minty lemon herbal tea with valerian root to help wind down for the day.

Flavors: Herbs, Lemongrass, Peppermint

Preparation
200 °F / 93 °C 4 min, 30 sec 2 tsp 16 OZ / 473 ML

Delicious. Nutty, bready, goodness in a cup. A great dessert or breakfast time tea.
I don’t really see anything else jumping out at me from the American Tea Room to purchase — but this one came highly recommended. If you have not tried this, it is an excellent flavored black tea.

Flavors: Almond, Bread, Cinnamon, Honey, Sweet

Pretty good. Decided to get 2oz since it was on sale. The oolong base is a nice fit. I likely won’t run out to buy more but at the same time it will be an easy 2oz to finish. It’s doing it’s job at the moment =)

Flavors: Cake, Hay, Hibiscus, Lemon, Lemongrass

For a store bought tea this one is pretty darn good. Soothing and crisp & refreshing. I saw someone mention stevia on a previous note but I can’t find that as a listed ingredient and I sure don’t taste it. If you love peppermint tea, another good one to try is Casablanca Twist from Adagio.

Flavors: Licorice, Menthol, Peppermint

Sample time…I always am appreciative of samples included in my orders. I don’t feel I can honestly judge this one as I just can NOT find a way to like rooibos teas…though this one is better than most I’ve tried.

Flavors: Apple, Cake, Cinnamon, Coconut, Hay, Vanilla, Wood

Profile

Bio

Janee here,
Tea lover…actually quite more on the obsessed side.
Nurse. Vintage Kitchen Glass Collector. Wife, a mom & a gram of 4 sweet littles.
Faith. Nature. Music. Baking. Gardening. Mid Century Modern. Love dogs. Love my old farmhouse.

Black and Oolong teas have my heart. I prefer a high quality loose straight tea.
I certainly don’t mind a well done flavored tea or a good tisane especially in the evenings though I am not a fan of artificial flavors, stevia, or yogurt/ chocolate bits added.
I in general don’t care too much for rooibos and honeybush blends… though a couple blends have surprised me in a good way.

How I rate: IMHO all of our ratings are pretty subjective…Keep in mind I am in no way an expert…but I am an enthusiast for sure! I love the experience.

95-100 Bliss, nirvana, a slice of heaven, I need this in my cupboard
90-94 Excellent, hands down would stock up…love in a cup
80-89 Very good- Would probably purchase again without regrets…delicious
70-79 Decent. OK. I would not refuse a cup if offered but I also would not go out and purchase.
60-69 Meh. Definitely would not purchase
59-50 Not for me, I would never purchase
<50 Just say NO. Can not fathom finishing the cup.

My usual teapot steeping (western) method: 30 oz teapot, 3-4 perfect spoons of tea, freshly boiled filtered water, 1-6 minutes depending on the type of tea. Occasional milk or cream but I prefer straight with no sweeteners/additions.

My usual mug steeping method: 16 oz mug, 1-2 perfect spoons of tea, freshly boiled filtered water,1-6 minutes depending on type of tea.

Teaware I use:
I own too much. I like using the Tea Press from DavidsTea when on the go. I often use the Perfect Steeper from Teavana or DT.
I heart my Japanese Iwachu Tetsubin cast iron teapot. It stays warm, it’s beautiful, and it adds to the experience. I have a few english antique teapots I love as well.
