68 Tasting Notes
oh my yum…. I am so glad I tried this tea and did not get discouraged by the smell. Not that the smell is bad, it just reminds me of Thai food, good to eat not to drink. The taste is another story, it is so good. Nice lemon and coconut flavor. I also really like the ginger in this tea. It makes my stomach feel better. I think this tea would be great after a big meal.
I will be buying more of this tea soon. I don’t think 20g will last me long.
Ummm. Not sure how I feel about this. I can taste the fruit and the chocolate but not a strong flavor of either. There is not much ‘fire’. I also think I over steeped this which is really not the teas fault but it did affect the taste of the tea.
Incidentally I bought the Teavana Tea Tumbler which I hoped would be a good replacement to my Timolino. Basically, I was hoping it wouldnot be as good as the Timolino. I think I like it, it keeps the tea hot but not scaling hot. I also added an ice cube inside which might have helped keep the temp to a drinkable temperature.
I love strawberry teas and this one from Teavana does not disappoint. It is still not as good as the Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait from Davids but still good. It has a sweet cream flavor that I rather like. It tastes like a warm strawberry yogurt. Again not as good or as cheap as the tea from DT so changes are I won’t be buying it again, but I was pleasantly surprised with this one.
Yum! This was super good and a great cup of morning mate. It was like having a water down version of a hot cup of cocoa. I added a splash of milk to make it creamier. I think, although, I like it it is not something I need to have every day. It will be enjoyed but probably not replaced once its done. I have just too many other teas I must try before this one is replaced.
I had a long day at the science centre with about 7000 kids…. Needless to say I needed a cup of tea when I got home. This tea called my name.. It smells amazing. It tastes really good to. Sweet coconut with a smooth texture. Reminds me of Coco Lemon Thai but more subtle. I really like it.
Went to David’s today and bought 20 g of all the new teas, plus 100 g of Strawberry Rubarb Parfait… I tried copabanana first, the dried smell is so good, bananas galore. The first sip was okay but not great. I think I was getting more coconut than banana, but as it cooled it got better. The banana went back to the front and the other flavors took a step back. I think I like it more than Banana Dream Pie (DT) and Choco Banana Foster (Teavana). I will be adding more of this tea to my stash.
I have had this tea a few times but have yet to write about it. First few times it was okay…. not bad but not memorable. Today however, I am really liking it. I don’t really know if I steeped it differently, the only thing I know I did this time was add a tsp of rock sugar. Maybe the rock sugar brought out the sweet flavor of the caramel.
A nice smooth and sweet tea.
I got this tea for my 8 year old who really wanted to try it iced. I made my cup hot as a night time treat. The smell scares me, I am certain I will not like this tea. It smells odd. Taste: yup, don’t like it. It tastes a bit like soap or aftershave. I can’t place it but I really hate it. Darn. Hope it is better iced.
