68 Tasting Notes
Mother’s Little Helper has been my night time ritual for the last few weeks. I really like it. Tonight however, I decided to have Sweet Dreams instead… And you know what, I might even like it more. I can really taste the fennel and a little bit of licorice. It’s quite good. Best of all the chamomile is doing its job and it is asking me sleepy!
Tart is the word! I liked this tea, but did not LOVE it… a bit too tart for me. Next time I will add some rock sugar to it and maybe that will bring the tartness down a bit. I really like that its a mate, because sometimes I just need an extra kick in the day. This tea might taste really good iced, but I have only had it hot. Glad I have it, but also glad I only got 30g of it. I feel that that will be enough for me.
A great lemony tea. Perfect hot after a heavy meal. Probably too good to be true but I read that if you drink a cup of oolong tea you burn 50 something calories each time. So does that mean that I can drink 10 cups a day?? Kidding… but it is a great tea and if there are some additional benefits, even better.
Another great tea! I think every one of the new summer teas have been amazing. Again, I had this tea hot and it is creamy and smooth. I can really taste the coconut. I had it after dinner and it seemed to settle my stomach. It was a really good smooth tea. Another must have.
Another great tea by David’s Tea… I tried this one in both hot and cold. I don’t know which one I like better. I think maybe the cold one, but it is still delicious hot. It is very tart. Too tart for my kids when they tried it, but perfect for me. I have visions of making pitchers of this tea in the summer. A must have.
I bought this tea from the 2 for $5 deal… And it is good. Maybe not top 10, but it’s good. I can taste the coconut and almost a pineapple taste. I don’t even know if it has pineapple but I am getting a hint of it. It is subtle but well worth the $2.50!
This tea is confusing, I don’t know what I am tasting… on one sip its cinnamon, the next is licorice, sometimes I get ginger. Also I am getting a bit of “soap”. So its not great, but not horrible either. Not something I would replace but I am glad I tried it.
I am editing this to add… I couldn’t finish it. The soap taste got stronger and stronger as it cooled. Had to dump the tea out.
Another great tea from DT. Since the warmer (barely) season has arrived I have been craving more fruity teas and less of the heavier winter teas. Which is all well in good till I realized that I had no fruity teas left in my cupboard. So, I bought this one and a few others; Berry Good, Coco Lemon Thai, Bollywood Chai and this tea. The smell was nice and light. The taste is even better. I love the lime here, it is lemony without it begin overpowering. It is creamy and good.
