drank Strawberry Banana Black by 52teas

This is a tasty tea that reminds me of strawberry banana yogurt with fruit at the bottom, which was always my favorite yogurt flavor. The flavors evoke a sense of sweetness about the tea without actually being sweet. The strawberry is a little candy-like and is equally balanced by the banana and tea. I am enjoying this chilled.

Well, I’m finally finishing this packet. I tried to stretch it out as long as possible because I really liked this one. Some of the blends from Verdant have been a little odd (but, I’m happy to try them). This one, I just loved. I love authentic tasting floral teas, citrus, and vanilla, all flavors present in this tea. It is also really flavorful. Juicy is a great way to describe this. The dominant floral is definitely jasmine, followed by citrus, and then vanilla. The texture is almost syrupy. The aftertaste is floral and sweet.

Flavors: Citrus, Jasmine, Rose, Vanilla

drank Eggnog Yunan by 52teas

Wow does this one smell good. It smells like the holidays with a rich creamy eggnog/light spice aroma.

I have brewed this one a few times and each time I’ve brewed it hot. My first sip is a let down because it just doesn’t live up to the aroma. The black tea is just more dominant than I’d like. But, by the middle of the mug my opinion has completely changed. This really starts to taste delicious as it cools. The eggnoggy creaminess just dominates with the light spiciness and black tea flavors more balanced. The aftertaste is also creamy good. I suspect this would be really delicious if cold brewed, but then I’d miss the aroma – and the aroma is so good.

Flavors: Creamy, Eggnog, Spices

Is this more of a golden leaf or a dark leaf?

Exidy

I’m looking at the tea now and I’d have to say it’s definitely tippy. The majority is dark, but there are golden leaves throughout and the dark isn’t as dark as say an assam. I guess you could call it bicolor. The leaves are nicely twisted and fairly small. With the marigold petals mixed in, it’s quite attractive.

Thank you for your detailed answer. :D

I am enjoying this tea chilled. I mainly taste warm (not spicy) ginger and light citrus. Now that I look at the ingredients, the citrus taste might be the orange peel. These flavors go really well with the slightly sweet white tea base. The aftertaste is softly gingerbready. An enjoyable cup.

I cold brewed this in a quart mason jar with 4 teaspoons of tea. I like how the longer “brew” time really brings out more flavor without getting bitter or astringent.

drank Apple Cinnamon Honeybush by 52teas

This smells wonderful in the packet. The brewed taste is a bit more subtle, but this is one of the more flavorful honeybush blends that I’ve had. Really lovely and perfect for the season. I also like the honey/caramel taste contributed by the honeybush. While not sugar sweet, this tea does seem sweet to me. And, the apple taste is pretty authentic and has a great apply aftertaste.

Flavors: Apple, Cinnamon

Boiling 8 min or more 1 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

This tea actually tastes a bit like apple cinnamon oatmeal, but without the mushy texture that I dislike about instant oatmeal. It smells wonderful, just like apple cinnamon. The apple is just like the apple taste in instant oatmeal. The cinnamon is warm and sweet like in a baked good. The aftertaste is clean, pleasing, and reminds me of cinnamon oatmeal. This makes a great morning cup of tea. It is also really good as a cold brew.

drank Lime Deluxe by ESP Emporium

This makes a great iced tea. It has a lovely tropical taste with a short, sweet aftertaste. The dominant flavor is coconut while the lime comes in a close second.

This tea smells wonderful, just like freshly baked oatmeal raisin cookies. I just want to sniff my hot cup of tea all day. It smells like brown sugar, cinnamon, and raisin. Just spot on and delicious. The taste while hot nearly lives up to the smell, but as it cools, the taste changes to something less appetizing while the smell is still spectacular. Something cloying emerges that I don’t like. And, even hot the aftertaste is disappointing. After the main body of the sip is gone my mouth is left with an unpleasant sour taste that I’ve come to associate with many flavored teas. It continues to persist long after the cup is finished. I’m not a fan.

I love blueberry teas. Although I suspect I have rather high standards. This one isn’t a favorite. It has a slight “possibly” blueberry flavor. It actually reminds me a bit of black current flavoring. The aftertaste is perfumy. The base is smooth, not bitter or astringent.

I brewed this as a standard tea and then chilled in a pitcher overnight in the refrigerator.

Flavors: Black Currant, Blueberry, Perfume

Wow! This is amazing!

I was very hesitant about this month’s Verdant Blends Box because I had read that the blends were going to be whiskey inspired, and I am not a huge fan of whiskey or nearly any other alcoholic drink. With this reservation, I opened the box and read the descriptions of this month’s blends when the box arrived today. I was intrigued with the descriptions and decided to make a cup of this blend first. And, I love it! This is my favorite blend so far from this subscription.

The aftertaste is really fantastic. It is so rich and creamy and long lasting. All the flavors blend together so well that I have no idea how to describe the taste of this tea.
