Nice aroma to this one, definitely a baked apple dessert smell. I was a bit worried with all of the raisins in it as I’m not a huge fan of them, but they don’t overpower the flavour. I never eat raisins by themselves, but in things they’re okay. Anyway, it’s a satisfying tea after a meal. There’s a nice creamy vanilla flavour that blends well with the apple and spices. Quite pleasant.

So instead of a black tea to start my morning after coffee, I tried David’s Electric Lemonade from their summer collection. I really like the taste of it! It reminds me of the firecracker or rocket popsicles I had as a kid – you know, the red, white and blue ones with the cherry, lemon and blue raspberry flavours? There’s a great sweet and tart mingling in it. I can imagine this being quite lovely as an iced tea, I’ll have to try it that way also. But it’s very satisfying hot. And surprisingly, not too overwhelming first thing in the morning.

I really want to love this tea. It smells awesome dried – the apple and coconut blend together so well. Brewed though, the mint heavily dominates the flavour. I was going to review this yesterday, but thought maybe I spooned it out with too much mint and wanted to give it another go. Today, I made sure to get lots of apple and coconut pieces, and yet it’s still mostly just the spearmint and peppermint flavours that I taste. There’s a slight flourish of apple as you swallow, but the coconut and apple are heavily masked by all of the mint. I noticed that more flavour seems to come out as it cools, but it’s still too subtle for my preference. I would recommend it as a simple mint tea, I find mint teas generally to be nicely soothing. But the rub is that you’re not paying for a simple mint tea given all of the pieces of apple and coconut. If you are looking for more complexity than the mint alone, I just couldn’t find it here, and not for lack of trying. I think I’ll stick to the mint chocolate rooibos when I want a creamy mint tea.

This tea has a nice summery aroma and flavour. With recent sales on summer teas, I haven’t made the switch to autumn teas yet. The apricot aroma is very prominent both dried and brewed. The flavour is juicy and sweet. I’m still more partial to peaches over nectarines in tea, but I also would reach for a peach before a nectarine in a fruit bowl, so no surprise there. I wouldn’t rush out to buy this again, but it’s enjoyable and I won’t have trouble finishing up the bag this fall.

Additional Note: I also made this as a pitcher of iced tea some weeks after my review of it hot and found it far more enjoyable chilled! The nectarine has a refreshing taste that seems quite natural iced. That will definitely be my preference for it next time.

Enjoyed this almost as much as the Murchie’s Mango Black tea I tried recently. There’s something about the purity of the mango alone though that ranks this one slightly lower for me with the added artificial flavourings and sugar. Nonetheless, this was quite enjoyable, the pomegranate addition makes the flavour a bit more complex; a tangy tropical twist. Dried and brewed, the tea smells and tastes wonderful. I bought a 250 gram bag of this from David’s during their end of summer sale. Looking forward to it as a warm tropical oasis this winter when it’s raining and cold outside.

This makes a lovely iced tea. I made up a pitcher of it and added a little bit of agave sweetener and it’s been a great go-to-treat in my fridge all week. They sour cherry flavour is awesome cold. It reminds me of those cherry blaster candies. My only regret is not trying it hot since I used the whole package to make up the pitcher. Guess I’ll have to get it again.

A very nice green tea. The aroma dried and brewed is like a lovely key lime pie. The flavour has a wonderful creamy sweetness to it. There’s something comforting and even indulgent about it. I didn’t really find the apple or pineapple notes in it, but was happy enough with the creamy lemon-lime taste.

This tea smells and tastes amazing! I really like the black teas mixed with fruit as it tends to take away some of the bitterness. This is a great breakfast tea, not too sweet and wonderfully smooth. The flavour is simple, but it doesn’t suffer at all for this.

This is a very pleasant afternoon tea. The lemongrass and coconut blend quite nicely creating a natural creaminess. The pineapple flavour is faint, more of an afterthought, but a nice finish on the palate nonetheless. Best to finish it before it cools though, I wasn’t a fan of it cold.

This is an alright mate that blends a grassy/earthy flavour from the yerba mate with citrus and orange zest accents. The pineapple and papaya notes are subtle, not overly prominent. Found this one a tad too sweet for my liking as a morning starter. Maybe it would be better as a late morning or early afternoon tea when you need a bit of a boost. For me, I find the sweetness a bit off-putting though.
