129 Tasting Notes
Fresh & Refreshing
Strong lemony flavor tempered by creamy vanilla
along with some almond and pastry notes
I remember a recent thread cautioning people against using
too high of numbers on reviews…I think to weed out some that
are artificially high, HOWEVER, my thoughts are this….
What if there were too many smart people on the forum and we graded them as well…
Would we have to “dumb some of them down?”
UNFAIR
This lovely tea deserves a 100 (in My Book Anyhow)
The flavors are clear, and yet masterfully blended at the same time
I am presently speaking from my repeat steep(2nd pot)…
This has an excellent resteep value and while the lemon tastes strong
throughout, even on the resteep, you can taste those delicate pastry
and almond notes and it remain somewhat complex in flavor
with creamy vanilla, along with almond &pastry notes layered throughout.
Congrats Stacy…truly an exceptional tea :-)
Why oh why have I had this sitting in my cupboard since New Year
I think … waiting to try this.. I set it on my nightstand vowing to try it and
there it set for 1 month …lol… and now I try it and I am singing…
What a breathe of fresh air…Springtime in a tea ♡
Mmm….that pineapple “island” flavor…
It is slightly astringent hot, but is a little more creamy as it cools down.
I kniw this is a little backwards, but I love how the dry tea smells …
like fresh pineapple
The smell of flowers are lightly dancing on the liqour of the tea
This is a very nice tea…delicate and tasty

What a refreshing, juicy treat.
I have been blessed by Miss B & JustJames with a gift of Matcha
and I have fallen in love…pineapple is so yummy!
This has a natural, yummy flavor.
Red Leaf has won over my business with their fresh, fun flavors.
Try them and you will see what I mean.
love, love, love
My favorite is the Cold Matcha Latte
I am loving matcha more and more…
The health benefits can NOT be beat…
however, the flavors alone are enough to win me over…
If you are a caramel lover~ here is your chance to try match…

Creamy, yummy caramel…getting ready to order more.
http://www.redleaftea.com/matcha-tea/cheesecake-matcha.html
mmm…almost as good as their eggnog matcha…
next order I will try the cheesecake matcha in distinctive
this is a matcha in a class all its own…
Talk about delicious….mmmmm
Creamy and buttery and a mouthful just like real cheesecake…
who knew something so divine could actually be good for you?
Enjoy matcha classically prepared or as a hot or cold latte…many health advantages
I personally LOVE this as a cold latte in whole milk….mmmmm

I love Eggnog and Eggnog Tea, but there is NO match for this:
This is good as a hot or cold latte or classic preparation of matcha,
But I prefer to drink the Classic Eggnog in a cold latte with whole milk…
I am addicted and unashamed
The quality matcha that Red Leaf supplies to its customers
is tasteful and honorable…I would not be ashamed to serve it to anyone.
Eggnog is my favorite flavor and
YES! I highly recommend it
Preparation
I’ve seen several good reviews of this one. I too enjoy eggnog teas, although most of them don’t taste of eggnog to me. I think it’s the creamy sweetness I enjoy so much.
Well, normally I do not rinse my puerhs as thoroughly as some might
generally rinsing very lightly as I am scared I am going to miss something…lol..
mistake with this one…
the first 10second steep tasted somewhat “chemical” tasting…I drank that first cup,
not too enthusiastically…poured the rest out….
I am not ready to give a rating as yet,
I am taking a break with one of my inexpensive,
But yummy pumpkin teas with creamer…
I will brush my teeth, rinse my mouth with salt water
and wait a few minutes before trying again
I will not give a rating until I am sure what I think.
Right now I am wondering if my expectations were too high
after seeing “Hawaiian” in the name.
Maybe that sounds crazy, but I have found coffees and tobaccos
to be more rich when grown in volcanic soil…
sometimes being grown in the mountains or near the ocean…
make a difference in the soil which in turn make a difference in the produce…
My second 10second steep will be devoid of any expectations…
blank slate…hopefully, I shouldnt need another rinse after first steep
Steeps 2&3 10 seconds and steeps 4&5 approx 20 seconds
This is not especially a robust or complex tea and after the 5th steep
holds no value to me whatsoever…
I appreciate this gift from a friend and do not wish to look a gift horse in the mouth…
whilst I am not saying the tea not steep worthy
(Very few teas are not worth steeping at all if on hand)
It is not worth purchasing (just my honest opinion)
I hope this was not expensive
It is earthy without tasting fishy
upon cooling slightly it hints at the sourdough bread,
But I have a greater appreciation for a tea that is bold, in your face,
and speaks to you without hesitation…
there is a little bit of a chemical quality throught that I do not understand.
This is not my favorite puerh,but I did enjoy a fair bit of it.
good day
Sweet Licorice, Cinnamon, Mint & Fennel…
I love fennel in your blends.
I am not much on minty teas usually
But this is a perfect minty tea for me… love it
Preparation
Creamy and nutty, But not my style at all…
I love eggnog ang eggnog teas
It is simply “ok” if steeped for 2 minutes, BUT
But over steep it and it is undrinkable…too fussy for me
the vegetal taste of the green tea doesn’t mix well for me and yet
I LOVE Eggnog Matcha…go figure…
as I am complaining I somehow feel this “growing on me”
…lol…I love tea and eggnog~so, it should…lol…
I adjusted the score a bit ;-)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Adjusting the score again…getting to the end of the pot and realize
when steeped properly…I am beginning to like this more…
on the cool down…I think this could grow on me…
Preparation
Tasting note No.100 for me~wheee!
Thank you for sharing this Suzi~right up my alley
I wish they made this dry leaf as a candle…
I smell the ginger root the heaviest…
next a little cinnamon and cardamom,but steeped they come across so subtly…
I added honey and cream to round out the heaviness of the spices
and it came across more like pumpkin cheesecake with all its creamy goodness
Next cup I will try just with honey.
Not as complex as some chais,but still delightful.
Preparation
Congrats on the 100 tasting notes!
Good to hear you enjoyed this one. I liked it, but not too much to share it with someone who might like it more.
I just realized this is a white tea and overall, I am not crazy about white tea as I am blacks.
It definitely works here and reaffirms to me that Butiki has some very fine blends.
Suziqzer please contact me about getting some samples…
I want to make sure you get to taste Butiki
Thanks Stacy for the samples…I so appreciate them…
sent you a PM .. :)
great ;-)
So glad you are enjoying this! :)
Thanx…I am!!!
Yay! :)
