From Tazo

Can’t find your invite for high tea with the Queen? (It must’ve gotten lost in the mail.) Luckily, our take on traditional breakfast-style black tea is even bolder and more robust, with a modern twist of Darjeeling front and center—no RSVP required.

A good black tea staple that I keep on hand. It is great brewed in combination with a fruity tisane and served over ice in the summer.

Tazo Awake has always struck me as the tea equivalent to dark-roasted coffee. Some people don’t like it because they find it too unrefined and blunt. For me what matters is that it does what it says on the label. This Assam blend packs a mighty punch of caffeine, has a malty heft, brews up dark reddish brown, and tastes good with cream.

Awake satisfies both my Assam cravings and my need for an afternoon caffeine jolt. Dare I demand more?

I tend to favor English Breakfast. Tazo doesn’t disappoint me. Nice tea I can count on to ‘awake’ me just as stated. I steep for 3 mins. I take with cream and a scant of sugar. I brew bags at home, since I can usually buy a whole box for the price Starbucks want to charge me for one cup at the store. So, this is not a usual choice when I am at their house just at mine.

A bit strong and bitter but I need the caffeine.

One of the few Tazo teas I actually like. Not a bad blend of flavors.

Basic black tea- there’s very little remarkable about this tea, but if you require a cup of black tea, this gets the job done.

This is an okay tea. Basic black, I think. Good with milk and a spot of honey.

I never think this tea tastes very strong, but that might be because when I usually drink it, I’m at Starbucks with their hot-but-not-boiling water.

This is one of my go-to teas. My husband works for Starbucks, so we almost always have it in the house. I drink my tea English-style, milk and sugar, and that works very well in this tea. And it does wake you up, as the name implies. It’s pretty much an English Breakfast blend (which they’re subtitling it now).
