I really enjoy this one with a splash of half and half in the morning. Rich and delicious and comforting, especially in this cold weather. This is the only mate from David’s that I anticipate keeping stocked regularly at home and work. By far my favorite from their line of mates.

My wife recently bought this at Davids. so I tried some and she protested as it was her tea. It tastes interesting in that the roasted mate is different than the green mate. It is definitely energizing and I resteeped it 3 times. I really liked that chicory is added, as this is an antifungal as well for the stomach. The black tea helped also with the immunity. A definite good one in the cold season in terms of flu and temperature.

This tea smells delicious, but is weak tasting when brewed. Leave it to steep for a good long time, and it’s a nice creamy, chocolate with a hint of berry. Also makes the kitchen smell great.

I’ve had this a number of times and I keep going back and forth about it.
On the one hand, it smells fantastic and deliciously chocolatey and is pretty good at waking me up. Fellow college-students-with-2-exams-this-week would know this is a super important factor sometimes when picking out teas…
On the other hand.. the flavor just doesn’t wow me. It’s good, just not amazing and not nearly as good as it smells. I drink most of my teas plain, although I’ve tried agave nectar in this blend and it did virtually nothing to change the taste. And from what I’ve read about mate teas.. I feel a little tepid towards drinking it.
I’m not a huge fan of chocolate teas though, so that could be it. In any case, I have about half a 50g bag left if anyone would be interested in a trade. I’m also new to steepster so I’d love to trade teas in general too :)

I was sad to finish the last of this yesterday! I have lots of chocolate teas but this one is my absolute favourite. The raspberries add such a wonderful natural sweetness, and keep the chocolate from becoming overwhelming. I don’t often buy the same tea twice (I like to try as many different kinds as possible), but this is one I’ll be stocking up on again!

I tried this partly because of the great reviews here. Chocolate, raspberry and almond? Sign. Me. Up.

When I open the tin, it smells like a raspberry truffle. Yum. Yet another tea I could just sit and smell all day long.

Once brewed, the taste lives up to the smell – so long as I use enough leaf.

This one will be staying on my shelf.

Raspberry! I taste that way more than any chocolate. Raspberry, mate, & a mix of almondy sweetness without being sickly. I opted for a thicker, creamier mouthfeel & added a little creamer. I think I’ve found a great replacement for Teavana’s My Morning Mate.

i love the look of this tea dry – the cocoa nibs and almonds look appetizing!
definitely smells sweet with a hint of chocolate. (ahh, that’d be the raspberries, forgot they were in there)
the raspberry flavour is definitely stronger than the chocolate. the mate taste is hidden, i guess the chocolate is just more in the flavour.
nice for a raspberry tea though! not tart at all
