Popular Tasting Notes
Delicious tea. I smelled this and had to have it, despite the cornflower and marigolds, which I was wary of. I am so glad I did, with a bit of sugar this tea tastes like almond sugar cookies. What a holiday treat! Thankfully the floral elements don’t stand out. Be careful not to oversteep this tea, it is quite unforgiving. I steep for exactly 3mins30secs in water just below boiling. After 4mins the bitterness starts to creep in, I accidentally steeped for 10 or so mins at work when I was distracted and it was undrinkable.

This was a sweet treat given to me by Nichole for Halloween last year. I love Earl Grey – it’s one of my favorites – and this one smells especially sweet and fruity. I steeped with boiling water per the instructions and I believe as a result this came out a touch bitter. Even so, this cup has a wonderful floral note to it that I’m really enjoying. I wouldn’t say that it tastes like other Earl Grey’s I’ve tried, but it’s lovely standing on its own.
Second Steep
8 ounces water + 212 degrees
I steeped this again with boiling water for several minutes and it is just as flavorful as the first cup. I might be tempted to go for a third.

It is a blend of oolong and pu’erh teas and some orange zest. Over all the taste is quite plain but there is a splash of ginger and citrus flavour! Not necessarily a summer-y kind of citrus but it gives the tea a very clean taste that makes you feel refreshed after drinking it!
Ohh-ho, golly… This is a tough one to review. It’s not that I didn’t like the flavour. I found it unique; spicy and sweet, and plenty strong enough for me. The problem is that one of the spices it contains is cumin. Cumin leaches through my pores at a surprising rate, and leaves me smelling, uh, a tad whiffy. So, it’s a no-go for me, I’m afraid. I think I’d feel quite differently about this one, though, if it didn’t make me smell like a farm animal on a hot day, so don’t let my experience scare you off.
I can’t wait for this tea to (hopefully) come back for the holiday season. When this tea quickly ran out of my local David’s Tea store, I quickly ran online and bought 500g to last me throughout the year.
The aroma of the peppermint is amazing and it gives it a sweetness that isn’t overpowering unlike Read My Lips. Even though it’s a seasonal tea, it was good enough to drink it year round!
