Popular Tasting Notes
The first smell of cranberry pear knocked my socks off too! I really thought this would be a great tea. Unfortunately it was just OK for me. I guess I was expecting a bit more. I really enjoyed picking out the dried fruit and eating it though!
Preparation
Received this tea as a sample with an online order.
Dry: smells nutty, slightly sweet
1st steep: strong unidentifiable nutty flavour (granted I don’t regularly eat brazil nuts so maybe that’s what the flavour is and I’m unaware).
2nd steep: more of the same
This is the first David’s Tea tea that I’ve expected to enjoy and haven’t. As far as nutty teas go, I much prefer Vanilla nut Creme by Stash.

I really love this tea at the store, but I haven’t gotten the flavor right at home yet. I’ve asked them if they were brewing it differently than the instructions and they said they went to 6 min steep (up from 2), and to make sure you stay under boiling not to get a bitter taste from the White Ayurvedic Chai. Still haven’t gotten it. Going to try steeping the Samurai first while my water is around 205, then steeping in the White after.
Made a cup tonight with a TABLE spoon of each with water pre-boil and is the close as I have gotten to replicating their flavor. Still disappointed…
