Popular Tasting Notes
I was in Corning NY, and strolled into a tea & coffee shop. They had open tins of loose teas that you could smell. As soon as I lifted the tin with Pomegranate Oolong I was hooked. Took some home and brewed a cup. I’ve had it at least once a day since then. I love the lightness, the fragrance, and the smoothness of this tea! You will not be disappointed.
Preparation
Excellent with vanilla soy milk! Think coffee and chocolate and vanilla. At first, I wasn’t a fan of this when I opened the bag. I ordered a small 2 oz portion of this online because I thought it would be fantastic….when I opened the bag, I was almost turned off by the smell. I’ve had this tea with and without vanilla soy milk, and I must say the vanilla soy milk makes a huge difference! I will probably buy more of this again when I run out.
Preparation
This is the first time I’m tasting this tea and I added almond milk to see how it would taste with this tea since it smells very sweet in the bag. It tastes good like this! I let it steep for a few minutes and added maybe a couple of tablespoons worth of almond milk. Has a little bit of a smokey character too it and a little bit of almost a carmel taste to it.
Preparation
Definitely overpriced as I have had similar oolong from the same region for much less, but it tastes great nonetheless. Very vegetal oolong, which is probabaly why I like it so much. The tea has a beautifully delicate color and smooth taste. Can be resteeped no more than twice because it can be steeped a little longer longer than the recommended time in my opinion. Has a nice buttery aftertaste upon resteeping. I would recommend it but not from this vendor because I cannot justify buying anymore for this price.
