Revisited this one last night. I have concluded I like it better with milk.

I put some of this in cool water, and then left the house. For 12 hours. When I got back, this was strong! It was overpowering and candy-like. Fair enough.

I diluted it a little and it was very good. I mustn’t get too attached, but this is such a good iced tea.

Oh these are nice.

The tea bag looks so high-tech! It is filled with crushed-up, somewhat powdery green tea. It turned my water bright green pretty quickly. I tried some after about half an hour and the sencha taste was strong and lovely. But, the mango flavour really developed the longer this brewed. This tastes like the powdered sencha, with nice juicy mango in the aftertaste.

I refilled my Libre with water and am trying a second infusion. After half an hour, it’s much weaker but it’s really pleasant! Kind of more flavoured water at this point, but that’s okay. I think a second infusion would work much better if the bag was removed after the first hour rather than sitting in water for more like two and a half.

Yum, this tea was an excellent choice to have waiting for me in the Breville this morning (last exam of the term coming up in a couple hours!). It’s nice and full. Smoky and pretty astringent. Very pleasant.

This is obscenely good.

Every single sip is exciting. It’s very sweet and I want to say delicate, but it’s so flavourful that doesn’t seem right. It smells beautifully floral dry and after steeping, and in the taste a more fruity sweetness comes through. There is an amazing sweet after-taste and a really nice crisp, green feel to it. In any case, this is very multi-faceted and feels like an indulgence with every infusion.

Ooooh, that sounds so wonderful right now… I love floral oolongs!

It’s incredible! I first tried it at a tasting and the vendor, Karen Hartwick, is amazing. She sources all her teas herself, and the ones I’ve tried have been divine. Her site doesn’t really provide her selection but if you ever feel like indulging in an order I’d highly recommend getting in contact with her and trying some of this stuff!

If I ever pass by Niagara… I am so there :)
-Magnolia is my favourite flower, I HAVE to try this tea one day

This isn’t scented, but it’s crazy potent naturally. I can’t believe a tea leaf can come out tasting like this by being tossed around in a basket.

Oh dear…. I’m in trouble now haha. I promised everyone who knows of my tea fanaticism that I’d cut down on buying and finish what I have first though *sighs

nomadinjeopardy

I’ve made that promise to myself more times than I can count. I don’t think it’s possible.

ha, finally someone who understands!!! I’ve taken to buying cups of new tea from the shop, that way there is no evidence…

I’ve finally come back to this tea. It was one of my first DT teas, but I just don’t find myself wanting it often. Today I made it chilled. The amazing weather has got me loving the cold tea.

This smells criminally good, dry. But iced it’s very similar to how I find it hot; underwhelming. It’s pleasant enough but I think the over-the-top incredible smell always clouds my judgement and makes me try to imagine it tastes better than it actually does. It’s really just okay. I want the peach to come through more but something about the balance of all the flavours seems a bit off. I don’t know. Nice tea, but not one I’ll likely re-stock.

Last night I put some of this in cold water as I felt like iced tea would be nice this morning. I ended up trying it only two hours later as it seemed so appealing, and it is! It was subtle but so fruity and crisp and refreshing. I think this will be an iced-only tea.
