248 Tasting Notes
This is lovely! Sent to me by Emilie, thanks!
I’m a complete green tea newbie, so I don’t really know what I’m talking about. Anyway, the flavors are nice and light and the green tea base comes through nicely. I can’t pick anything out exactly, but there is a nice light sweet juiciness. Whatever the green base is, I like it!
Preparation
Went with Guayaki’s instructions on this, I think 150 is a little low though. Might try 175 next cup. I’ve had bagged mate before from this brand, but not their loose stuff. Adagio is the only other company I’ve had to compare to.
This wasn’t bad, I enjoyed it. Nice light herb flavor, I think I may steep longer next time. The full ten minutes sounds goods. I like my tea strong. :)
Preparation
In the tin the earl grey overpowers pretty much everything, but brewed is another story. The earl grey is a more toned down, which is lovely because while I like early grey I do want to taste the other flavors in the blend. My sense of smells is still a little off (allergies yay!) and that can mess with taste well. The cinnamon isn’t particularly strong, but I think I can tell it’s in there, provides a nice little hint of spice. Really lovely blend overall, smooth taste, good everyday tea.
