Anyone receive their free Tea Ave samples from September?

I didn’t sign up for them at first because 1) I have been “followed” by a bunch of users who are actually just advertising non-tea-related products and services 2) I didn’t want to give a lot of info to a company I know nothing about and don’t know if it is legit, and there website was still under construction so how could I tell? And 3) my credit cards have been hacked twice in the past few months.

I finally followed the link and signed up, and they were nice enough to include me even though it was past the deadline. I did so because I saw someone review one of their teas, but now I wonder if it was a user or someone from the company? Anyway, I hope to get the samples, and I hope they will be great so we can return the favor of the samples by having some good reviews for them!

I just received the package. I just have to say “Wow!” This is definitely more than I was expecting. I look forward to it. Be warned, you might have to sign for it. DHL actually came by yesterday in the middle of the day, but came back today.

I received mine Thursday and it was an amazingly generous surprise. I had forgotten about asking for the samples completely and wow has Tea Ave outdone themselves.

It’s been a pretty horrible week so I really needed this. I ended up taking pictures of everything down to the letterhead to send to my mother who’s a designer because it’s all so elegant.

I got my package today, and it’s totally made my day. They sent two samples sets – one for me and one to share. Each one has samples of Jasmine Oolong, Magnolia Oolong and Osmanthus Oolong, a gift card, and a tasting set with a sipping cup, aroma cup and oak tray. I am so impressed with the quality of everything and the elegant design. This is way more than I was expecting, and extremely generous of them.

I’m looking forward to digging into the tea as soon as I’m able to actually pay attention to it.

Mine arrived today; luckily Tre was around to collect it because it was dropped off outside near our garbage bin!?

I received the same as Anlina except Ginger Lily instead of Osmanthus. I’m so incredibly stunned and blown away by the gorgeous packaging and the inclusion of so much extra stuff! The tasting cup and aroma cup are beautiful (though I’m a little intimidated by the aroma cup)!

There’s so much information packed onto the sample package; more than I’ve ever seen a company include; it still manages not to seem crowded though. And, it’s a small detail but the fact they added cold brewing instructions makes me really, really happy!

Not a clue who I know “IRL” to give my second set to though; none of my tea drinking friends are ‘hardcore’ enough to appreciate it…

I received mine today too, with the jasmine, osmanthus and wenshan baochong. Such a beautiful and generous presentation!
Mine was delivered and left between my front doors – safe and convenient, and such a wonderful welcome to getting home. :)

I received mine today too! My samples are of the Dong Ding, Magnolia Oolong, and Alishan Jin Xuan. I’m enjoying the Jin Xuan right now and oh boy do I prefer it over the Camellia Sinensis Jin Shuan.

When I got the package I was so surprised- the FedEx guy showed up with this pretty huge box! And it was pretty heavy! Took me by surprise, all I could think was “how much tea is in here??!?! How could they possible send so much?!?!” And well, it wasn’t tea, but it was definitely a lot – two sets of tea ware??? Generous beyond belief.

I got my set today today and am in awe of what they sent! My samples are Wenshan Baochong Oolong, Alishan Jin Xuan Oolong & Jasmine Oolong. I love all the detail on the back of the sample. I love the sipping cup, aroma cup & oak tray! I love it all!

Mine arrived as well! As everyone has stated it went way above what I was expecting with that beautifully presented tasting set and samples of Lishan, Magnolia, and Jasmine Oolong’s. Mine were all looseleaf samples which make me happy as well. Once again Thanks for the generous package. I look forward to trying them.

Has anyone measured the weight of the tea samples? I’m trying to figure out how many brewing sessions I could get out of it. I’m thinking one gaiwan session and then one small western style cup?

I’m also puzzling over who to give the second set to. I don’t know anyone who’s super into tea to the point they brew gong fu though I can think of a few who might be converted. I was thinking I would buy a small gaiwan in china town to package with it and print out a guide to brewing. I fear though my addition to the package won’t be nearly as gorgeous as tea ave did.

What is everything else doing with their extra set?
