Anyone receive their free Tea Ave samples from September?

Mine arrived yesterday. I had not been reading this discussion so the size of the box and the contents blew me away. It will be a few days before I can work into these samples. I am already practicing with the aroma cup set to learn how to use it. I was thinking about a contest for the second set – but my son claimed it this morning when he popped in. I have been trying to expand his horizons away from that horrible Kuerig contraption. So feeling pretty good about letting it walk out the door with him.

You guys are making me crazy waiting for mine! Did yours come UPS?

It came DHL. We weren’t home. Fortunately my youngest arrived just as they were about to leave. He was disappointed the box wasn’t for him. He was expecting R/C car parts. When I got home he said I had a package and that it was “probably more tea” (You know, as in I can’t believe you need more tea). He will not join me on the dark side. Some day.

I have a notice from Canada Post that I presume is this package. I will know tomorrow! I think that each set was sent by the cheapest option since Fedex/UPS/DHL from Vancouver to NS would be outrageous.

K S, your description of your son mirrors my experience with my children. lol

Mine came yesterday as well (after an attempted delivery the day before). I knew what was coming from reading here but still, wow. I don’t take a lot of companies up on their offers for samples these days, but I am glad I did with this one. I got Magnolia Oolong, Rose Oolong and TGY, so I am thrilled to try the teas as well.

I remember being taught the aroma cup ceremony when I first went to China, 10 years ago. Now I will get to try it on my own!

All these wonderful reports made me eager to go to their site, but it doesn’t look like it’s up and running yet. :(

Arrived! Wow! What a nice presentation. Looking forward (fingers crossed!) to a quiet patch of time to give my new treats proper consideration.

How did yours arrive? I’m being so impatient! ;)

Post office via Canada Post. Best rural-delivery option where we are.

For anyone who didn’t get in on that introductory offer – I will be hosting a giveaway on the SororiTea Sisters blog for one of the gifts: tote bag, aroma cup set, gift card and 3 samples of the tea.

The giveaway will start tomorrow when the post publishes.

Good luck!

I got mine, and it’s gorgeous! Can’t wait to sit down and try it! (after I kick this nasty winter cold that’s preventing me from properly tasting anything). Meanwhile, I’m offering my 2nd set as a giveaway on my blog. (Canada only). http://wp.me/p4er6a-q3

I saw the pictures, but I wasn’t ready for the majesty. I can’t help but wonder what the budget was on these materials..the bag is monogrammed. The box is monogrammed. THE TEA TRAY IS MONOGRAMMED!

[Google tells me this is not the word I mean, but I can’t think of a better one.]

I have not yet tried the teas as I am still suffering a cold and don’t think I could differentiate notes in an oolong right now but we did use the aroma and tasting cups over the weekend in a lengthy shou pu session. I think I am really going to enjoy the addition of a tasting cup to my gongfu time. Now I need a proper sharing pitcher, and the lovely bamboo tongs. And a real tea tray!

I sincerely thought about giving the second set to a tea loving friend but she doesn’t have a gaiwan or yixing and the beau really wanted a set for himself. Spoilt!

Thank you Tea Ave – you have wonderful presentation and I am curious to see what teaware you offer when you open!

You even got two sets of tea ware?

Uniquity said

Yes! Two completely identical packages! 2 discount vouchers, 2 sets of samples, 2 sets of teaware, 2 bags, 2 boxes!

I just got mine via USPS (for those who want to know, I am in Kentucky)! If I didn’t have bronchitis I’d so be doing a dance right now.

My box also contained the 2 tote bags, 2 tasting sets and trays, 2 gift cards, and 2 each of Osmanthus, Cape Jasmine, and Alishan Jin Xuan oolong teas. I love the information included on the tea label.

So very generous of them, this was above and beyond in my opinion! When I am feeling a bit better I will give these teas a proper review.

Thank you Tea Ave, your generosity is truly appreciated, and I am grateful for the opportunity to try your teas!
