I adore this tea. It tastes like the dry summer breeze. Whiffs of brittle pastures, sweet overtones of peach and cool shadows of cucumber. I am careful about the time I let it brew because it is very easy for it to become bitter, but I adore it just short of that point with a smidge of honey
I drank this tea last night to help soothe my stomach after it had a “run-in” with a tea that didn’t agree with me. This refresh tea eventually helped to ease my discomfort. I finished the last teabag and I plan on purchasing another mint tea, but not necessarily this brand. It was pretty good while it lasted, but I’m just too curious to pass up the opportunity to try something new.
So I went into starbucks today ( like an hour ago… lol) and decided to try the refresh tea. It was I guess, like you said the better the of TAZO collection. It was really the only tea that I was able to enjoy finishing, the others have been painful to get to the end of the cup. I am not the biggest fan of mint, but it was pretty cool. If I am stranded with Starbucks and have no way to get one of my own teas, Refresh will be my go to.
I’m glad you found Refresh to be the better of the TAZO collection also. I have a 5$ gift card for Starbucks so I might eventually cave and get Refresh again. I’m a little scared to try any other TAZOs. I always find I have to choke them down or toss them out and feel guilty for wasting. I guess I could always get a non-tea item.
Dot worry. I feel thhe same way. I used to LOVE the earl grey TAZO but then I think the company started puttring tomany leaves in one bag. it would just get overpoweringly strong in no time. ive also tried te chai. it was so dificult to inish this tea to the last drop. i def had a hard time nd would never have it again. te taste was nic but then there would be a horrible after taste. ive also tired zen , its a green tea with lemongrass. it was alright but i didnt really like it. a friend gave me orange blossom . i have yet to try it. so ill keep u posted on it.
I steeped this last night, but I fell asleep before drinking it, so I decided to try it cold this morning. It’s pretty good this way also. I think this is the first Tazo tea that I wasn’t completely disappointed with.
Interesting, I find that I am disappointed with most TAZO teas, so maybe I should give this one a try next time I’m in starbucks.
The hubby and I went out for sushi last night for our anniversary. It was delicious, but we ate a tad more than we wanted to. You know when you don’t have quite enough pieces to ask to pack home, but just a few more than you would want to eat? Well that was us last night. We hate wasting food, so we just chatted and slowly ate the remainder. My tummy is doing alright this morning, with only a touch of unease. Fingers crossed that this tea will quickly fix me right up. I’m drinking it cold this morning. I don’t as many steeps out of it as my loose tea leaves, but for a bagged tea, it’s pretty darn good.
I received this tea last Christmas in a tin from a friend, who knows me and my love of tea very well. I’d have to say that it is a good pick for my taste. I’ve tried a few boxed brands of mint teas such as Celestial Seasonings and Stash, and so far I enjoy this one best. Compared to others, I find this one slightly bolder, and as a result the flavor seems to linger in my mouth longer after each sip. It’s a little like a candy cane, without the sugar and the sticky fingers (or am I the only one who can’t eat a candy cane without getting sticky fingers?)
sigh Spent two hours waiting in line for gas, only to have them run out right before it was my turn. Damn you Hurricane Sandy…now I have to call out of work and my poor patients don’t get enough staff and the attention they deserve. Anyway, on to the tea. After that whole waiting episode I had a nice refreshing glass of tea to relax. This is my standby that I go to all the time. It makes a nice large pitcher, goes with almost anything, and relaxes me. Delicious!
Ahh haven’t had any tea in a few days. Work has been absolutely insane. This was the easiest to make a big pitcher of so I steeped it for the five minutes and refrigerated it for later. One of my standby’s. Fruity and light it’s something that I can drink with every meal.
AW I am a little sad many people seem to dislike this! I actually really love this tea and have noticed it’s kinda hard to find in stores around here. It’s a very light and smooth white tea. As for taste, there’s really no discernible fruit, more so a generally berry-like flavor. It’s a simple tea that’s not overdone; perhaps the fact my first experience with it was on vacation in New Mexico added to the enjoyment as well!
Preparation
Oh goodness, to describe Tazo’s Passion tea as briefly as I could I would use the words: strong, tart, with a hint of sour.
I don’t know how all these people steep theirs as long as they do. Personally, steeping it for just a minute gives me all the flavor I could ever want and then some. This tea is PACKED with flavor, which is nice because I can get more than one cup out of a bag.
Is this what hibiscus tastes like? If so, I think I like it. I’m new to the tea world, so it’s hard for me to pick out ingredients. I like what I like, that’s about it.
Great iced and hot (with or without sweetener)!
THIS IS A GREAT TEA FOR NON-TEA DRINKERS TO HAVE. My sister hates tea, but she loves sweet, fruity things, and loves this stuff. She’ll actually make it on her own without me prompting her! WOW!
Preparation
WOW AND I THOUGHT THE PASSION TAZO TEA WAS STRONG. This had so much promise, as I really do love orange flavors, but WOW it was just an absolute overload of SOUR. It smells great but it’s just waaay too much assaulting flavor. I feel like there has got to be SOME use for this tea, though… perhaps it would be better cold? I don’t know, but I didn’t keep it around long enough to find out. I actually gave it all away to my friends… I wonder how much they hate me now. :’)
Preparation
GOOD GOD this tea is strong! The tart citrus flavor can be too much for me. I’m generally not a huge ice tea fan, but I think this one would be much better iced with lemonade as a few others have mentioned. When preparing it hot I literally only steep it for 1-2 minutes (which is weird for me considering I usually steep my tea for the whole time I drink it lol), which keeps it from being too overpowering. I do love the rose hips and it’s generally pleasantly flavorful if I don’t overdo it, but wow YEAH THE FIRST CUP KINDA KNOCKED ME OUTTA MY CHAIR.
Preparation
Its about time I review this since its pretty much my most enjoyed iced tea. I loved it before steepster, and still do, even after beginning my journey with loose-leaf at the start of this year.
I give this tea a 100 because it is tasty, refreshing, easily accessible from a local store, inexpensive, and fun to brew.
I prefer to make it myself instead of having it at starbucks and I use honey to sweeten.
I made a perfect pitcher of it once which came out absolutely amazing, but I haven’t been able to recreate it exactly for some reason, but I hope to figure it out eventually.
The tea is just so refreshing any time of day. I love that there’s spearmint in this instead of peppermint. The lemongrass and lemon verbana is perfectly blended. I don’t like many green teas so the fact that this is a favorite says a lot.
I love this tea with lemonade! As I said in my other review, I’m not a big fan of fruity teas but this one is really yummy, especially with lemonade. One of my favorite drinks at Starbucks!! Though I always get it unsweetened just in case…
I’m definitely going to try what some of the others recommended and mix it with other drinks as well.
Preparation
Ever since my close friend from med school brewed this tea (either sun or cold brewed), I fell in love with this tea! I haven’t tried it until I received some in a swap! This tea is absolutely delicious iced. I know that I don’t like hibiscus hot, so I cold brew it! It is natural, mildly sweet juice! I love the red/purple color of it as well.
