I accidentally only steeped this for about two minutes today and there is basically no coconut flavor. Oops!

drank Mint Rose by Zhena's Gypsy Tea

I absolutely love how this looks. I’m a sucker for interesting packaging! My boyfriend’s mom sent this to me.

Brewed hot, as I did last night, this is mostly mint. The rose petals are pretty, but there really isn’t rose flavor. The mint isn’t an overwhelmingly strong mint, but it IS the only flavor.

I’ve also cold brewed this in the past, and that made the mint stronger but still no rose.

I think this would be nice to mix into other blends for mintiness without it being overwhelming, but it’s nothing special on it’s on in my opinion.

This is my “sipping at work” tea. I think I’m getting a cold, so I’m going all out on the warm drinks for my sore throat. With this one, I’m really only getting the white tea base, not much of the rose, lemon, or vanilla. However, I do get a hint of flavor that kinda makes me think of a Fig Newton. I’m not sure why or what that flavor comes from, but that’s what I taste

My before work tea today, I seem to be going sweeter and sweeter with these! I’ve had this a few times now and I really like these as an evening tea with a bit of milk, even though I really don’t need that caffeine at night! It’s one I’ve even convinced the boyfriend to drink

Haha, convincing the boyfriend to drink tea is an accomplishment in my books as well. :)

Emilie

He’s slowly coming over to the tea side, but it definitely has to be a sweet tea for me to convince him right now

My BF only drinks Earl Grey! I wish he would try more different teas!

This was my morning tea for work today since I was out of milk. This one is great either way, and I love the creaminess the coconut flavor gives. I took a giant thermos of this to work because I think I’m getting sick, and it was a great comfort to sip on.

Nicole

Mmm… I’ll have to put this on the wish list. I love a good coconut black tea.

drank Tea Earl Grey Hot by ThinkGeek

I have been downing this one pretty much every day before work. I still say that it is too harsh for me without milk, but with milk it is perfect for the mornings. It provides enough of a flavor and caffeine kick to wake me up, and the milky tea just goes perfectly with pretty much anything that I’m having for breakfast

I’ve been pretty harsh on Adagio brand Earl Greys before, and this one was no different. However, I tried it again today after avoiding it for a while, and I enjoyed it much more. I’m not sure if it has mellowed out with age, or if my tastes have changed. I still wouldn’t drink this without milk, but with milk its a nice strong tea that I can see myself enjoying in the morning for waking up. I’m always happy when I get to raise my previous score for a tea!

drank Samovar by Kobuk

This tea is something I received from my boyfriend’s mom when we visited Alaska. I had a thermos of tea on the trip, but for various reasons I was unable to drink it. Right before we left Alaska, she bought me a 3oz bag of Samovar tea.

I understand why this tea is popular in Alaska. It is EVERYWHERE, right alongside the coffee. This tea feels strong, hearty, and warm, just what you want when, say, you’re visiting Alaska with your boyfriend in spring and a sudden -30 degree cold wave hits. Even though the ingredients might make you think this is fruity, I wouldn’t call it that. The two flavors that come to mind with this are sweet and spicy. It has a very delicate sweetness that is not at all overpowering, and is kept in check by the spicy, zesty flavors of the orange peel and cinnamon. Drinking this tea just makes me want to cuddle up in a blanket next to a fire place with snow falling outside.

I was excited for this tea, but as soon as I took a sip, all I could taste was overwhelmingly sugary sweetness. I tried, but I just couldn’t drink this one. I had to dump it out

I absolutely love smoky teas. I had this one with lunch today. It was a nice smoked wood flavor, without tasting burnt or like dirt, like some can.

I’ve lived in Hawaii, Mississippi, Colorado, Maryland, Texas, California, and Oklahoma. I’m just waiting to see where we end up next!

My preferences are towards black and oolong teas but I love trying new and/or weird teas! I’m finally learning to enjoy green tea.

We recently moved to about 6500 feet above sea level and I’m still trying to get the hang of the lower boiling point! Any tips would be appreciated :)

I really love swapping, so if anything in my cupboard catches your eye, please let me know!
