32 Tasting Notes
Forever Nuts was the first tea I had tried from DAVIDs TEA when a friend made a pot for us about a month ago. This was the tea that started my DAVIDs obsession. I recently purchased a 100g bag and put it in a pretty purple tin…I’ve been trying other teas while it was sitting in my cupboard, but each time I’d go to make a cup of tea, I desperately wanted to steep a cup of Forever Nuts.
The smell reminds me of a specific Cinnabon location in the Union TTC Station in Toronto. The taste, for me, isn’t all that nutty, which is favorable because I’m not the biggest fan of nuttiness. Although I do taste cinnamon and a slight sweet, light nutty flavor, I can’t quite put my finger on what else I can taste in this tea – but whatever it is, it’s AMAZING and very warming…like a nice hug. Definitely one of my favorites from DAVIDs – one that will always be in my cupboard.
EDIT: I can’t believe I didn’t mention Forever Nuts’ gorgeous pink color! It’s one of the nicer colors of tea I’ve experienced so far. I also have to try this tea without adding sweetener. I’ve heard that it’s got a natural sweetness, making sweetener unnecessary.
Preparation
I received an 8.8g sample tin of the organic Blueberry Jam tea in the Sweet Indulgence sampler pack this week. When I first received my order, this was not one of the teas I had been excited to try; however, after having two hot cups of it this afternoon, I can now say that this may be my favorite tea to date. I was surprised by the tea’s true blueberry smell and taste, which were almost identical to a blueberry sauce my mother’s been making me since I was a child.
This tea left me with a slight aftertaste of sweetness and fresh blueberries, which made me want another cup immediately, and after reading various reviews of this tea, I’m excited to try it again tomorrow with a drop or two of milk or over ice.
