411 Tasting Notes
Finishing up my last little bit of this, and decupboarding. I’m brewing it in my perfect steeper by eight cranes, and it’s lovely to watch the more highly saturated liquid pour from the top when you turn it over after steeping. It’s a thick golden yellow as it tumbles down.
Anyway, Mr. Cream Oolong – you’ve been good, but it’s time to go. Thanks for your oolong-y goodness. Sorry this wont’ work out any more; it’s not you, it’s me. I’ve changed.
The first time I tried this tea, I didn’t like it. (Although Lena did). The next time I tried it, I loved it. And now that I’ve had an opportunity to try other milk oolongs, I’m not as enamored of it, but I do still apprecaite it. For being actually dipped in cream as part of it’s creation, it’s not as milky or buttery smooth as other milk oolongs I’ve had. (Plus, it seems a little like cheating to me that way, doesn’t it?)
Smooth flavor, multiple steeps. It’s a good oolong. And it’s got some milky, creamy flavors. Good tea.
Preparation
lol…it was good for my 1st milk oolong. maybe i need to go back and try it again. are you settled in your new house?
I have to sell my current house before I get to buy a new house – and houses are selling really…… slooooowwwwly… around here lately. Cross your fingers for me.
I love this tea. It’s amazing. I just wrote up a review for www.itsallabouttheleaf.com on this one and it blew me away. Nom to the Nom power.
Preparation
Got a sample of this from Jillian (thank you so much!) and gave it a whirl this morning. I thought it was a fairly average jasmine; no outstanding notes, no detracting characteristics. Hubby thought it was pretty good. Not one I’ll actively seek out, but not a bad tea at all.
Preparation
Meh.
I like silver needle tea, but when they’re butter smooth and flavorful.
This wasn’t. This was more “green” tasting for the few flavors there. I was bored with it as I was drinking it. And it was a little more astringent than I hoped for in a silver needle tea.
