(From zentealife.com) I got this one because apparently tumeric is really good for inflammation. I’m not sure I’d ever drink enough tea to make a difference, but it’s nice to have something “healthy” to sip on after my caffeine cut off.
After the 7 minute (!) steep, nothing really overpowers the ginger. There’s licorice in the aftertaste (quite strong, actually), but ginger is still front and centre.
I added a little honey, and it’s… pretty good. I think it’d be better cold, but maybe with a 5 minute steep, or cold-steeped. That licorice has such a weird sweet aftertaste that I apparently really don’t care for. With less licorice, this tea would have a super high rating. Sadly, with the licorice, I’m feeling rather meh about it. It’s not undrinkable, but it can’t even approach a licorice-free rating.
If you like licorice and ginger, this tea is for you.
