From Zen Tea

If you are fan of Earl Grey and hae not tried this, you are in for a treat. Cream Earl Grey has a taste that is smooth with vanilla overtones which stand out above the premium bergamot flavor the signature taste of Earl Grey. Our flavoury Earl Grey mellowed with a delicious creamy taste. An excellent all day tea with a superb finish.

So I went back to check because I suspected as much: this is my first earl grey in a week and a half. A year ago it was all I would touch! There have been so many other good teas in the meantime that I barely noticed.

This definitely smells creamy both dry and brewed. It’s one of the better tasting EGs I’ve had; the cream taste is there, but it doesn’t overpower the EG base and make it taste like something else entirely like some others do. It’s slightly sweet and very nice as a morning cup! I may have to grab some of this one too.

I don’t like black tea and never tasted any earl grey tea that one was ordered on the December 50% off sales from zen tea with my normal command i still try to find a black tea i would like.

I’m still sick but it way less worse than this morning at least i can talk now. Being in the mood for tea but not the one i’ve been drinking all day long that one was the perfect choice.

I know i should have tasted it with nothing in it first but i always find black too bitter i did put some honey in it before even drinking it not enough to change the taste but enough to cover any bitterness that might come with the first sip.

Unfortunately that was not the tea that will make me like black tea for that matter that was probably my last try black are just to bitter for me flavoured or not i still drink it with a lot of honey a chance for me it was just a sample.

I don’t give that one a note since i’m kinda bias against black tea

This was an impulse buy after seeing the great reviews here, no regrets at all. Zen Tea could very well be a contender among my favorite online tea retailers.

The bergamot is a bit mild, which works well with the creaminess of it. Need to be careful though, as with my second cup I accidentally oversteeped it and it became unpleasantly bitter. But so long as you don’t get sidetracked as easily as I do…! It is an amazing, well balanced tea.

Better than most earl greys I’ve had, because of its creamy touch

I notice a few notes to this. There is a creamy note. There is a note that seems spicy to me, I suppose this is the bergamot. The tea itself seems to have a slight malty note. Overall this is good.

I brewed this one time in a 16oz Teavana Glass Perfect Tea Maker/Gravity Steeper with 3 tsp leaf and 200 degree water for 4 min.

Nice tea. Sort of morning only but good with added sugar.

This tea is currently my favorite. We put half a Mason jar full of 2% milk and shake it like your life depends on it. Put it in the microwave for 45 seconds. I usually do this while the Grey Cream is brewing. A very small amount of sugar and the perfectly concocted microwave foam/hot milk combo makes a perfect cup of tea. My wife puts a little shake of Pumpkin Spice on the foam and after that first drink you will think your in Bath, England in late 1792

I ordered this tea during the Black Friday 2015 sales based on reviews. Then rumour has it that this current batch, the new one that I am assuming I received, is inferior to the original.

Now, I haven’t tried the original EGC from Zen, but what is in my cup right now is pretty fantastic. It is not particularly creamy, perhaps that is the problem. However, it works for me. I have tried DT’s EGC and found it to be a disaster for me.

This vanilla is deep and grounded, with several levels of flavour, none of that false perfumey vanilla flavour or scent. The bergamot is there, also grounded, but with lovely floral and citrus lilts that surprise your sips from time to time. The tea base is a pleasant Ceylon mix, as opposed to the thin tinny nonsense that often finds its way into flavoured teas.

Word is that the original tea will be back in stock in two weeks or so. Can it get better than this?

I haven’t ordered this in a year but it’s too bad to hear that the newer one isn’t quite up to snuff. But glad you still enjoy it. I’m going to take a stab in the dark and say yes, yes it can get better than that.

I am going to have to conjure up an excuse to make another order then. I am really thinking that I got a bag from the original batch though. Who knows.

Ceylon tea taste so bad to me that I want to cry when I have some. I brewed this and my bestfriend and I decided to dump this tea out immediately.

If anyone wants this just let me know :)

Oh no! This is one of my favorites! I definitely don’t like Ceylon either.
