Sooo….right now might not be the best time to write this, being that I just got back from a quite rowdy albeit small presidential debate party….drink if they mention middle class! (That alone will get you drunk.) lol. But, I have written some of my best work this way, literature wise, sooo….

This tea, drank before going out this evening, was courtesy of LiberTEAS, who sent me quite a generous sample package (this is the first of many samples). It is very malty, and for some reason while I was drinking it I was reminded of the color of old copper. NOT the taste of copper, but the color, dark, mysterious, deep. This is not my tea, but is a good tea, if that makes since. I am just not a big fan of Assam.

I would recommend this tea to any assam lover, as it is of good quality. Sweet and rich, it can hold its own with any coffee.

Tea #31 from Another Traveling Tea Box

I don’t generally drink assam, but I’m glad I got to try this one. It is making me reconsider what I use for iced tea, I think this would be absolutely wonderful iced. It has a subtle sweetness to it followed up by a slightly malty note at the end. I wish there had been more of this in the TTB so I could try it as a cold steep.

A very nice Assam! I have been curious about this one for some time and now thanks to a wonderful new Steepster tea friend I was able to taste it for myself. Bold and rich, malty with just enough natural sweetness. A smooth and enjoyable cuppa!

Wow, this is lovely and hearty! I have only recently started appreciating heavier, richer, non-flavored teas. This one is almost nutty and kind of creamy. The first few sips were really smooth, but it is starting to get bitter as it cools. Adding a bit of cream takes the edge off the bite. I’m not totally taken by this tea, but I may keep it out of the ATTB and try it again soon.

TTB Tea 13: I picked this one for my studying before the organic chemistry test tomorrow. I feel as though it was a good choice! The flavor is very nice without being astringent or bitter. It was malty, a little chocolatey, and rich without any added flavors. And it gave me a nice caffeine boost!
