A sweet and light tasting black tea with smooth honey notes.
Sourced direct from PT Harendong Green Farm, a young Indonesian tea farm located in the western end of Java, in Banten Province. The farm was established in 2005 with tea plants imported direct from Taiwan and has since achieved international organic certification. All of Harendong’s tea has a very ‘clean taste’ which is unsurprising as it located in a pollution free environment next to a natural reserve and uses only fresh spring water direct from local mountains.

It’s very light, without the slightest hint of bitterness or astringency. I even brewed this at 205 with no troubles.
The flavor is just…odd, but pleasant. It’s honey caramel, with a fresh tree sap flavor. Interesting.

This was a sample that Alistair kindly included with my What-Cha order. The tea consists of small, irregular-shaped pearls. There isn’t much of a scent from the dry leaves, but after brewing, it turns into one of the most honey-sweet teas I have ever tried. The sweetness is unmistakable but not overpowering, and the overall feel of the tea is smooth and light-bodied. There’s a crisp quality that reminds me of a Ceylon as well. I am always eager to try teas from new regions, and this one was a nice surprise!

Not quite the tea for me. I think I’ll have it in the morning for breakfast. It’ll be sweet but I’ll not expect too much from it. 75.

I like to drink pearl (rare) kinda of tea straight from the cup. Drop in, pour in water. You may get a stronger flavour profile :)
By the way, off topic, but I noticed the first King Salmon in stores here. Yay
