White tea with blueberry, kiwi and starfruit. Sweet and low in caffeine

Tasting Notes: blueberry | kiwi | sweet

Tasty white tea blend with lots of fruits and herbs. Fluffy white tea leaves mixed with fruits like blueberry, pineapple, mango and kiwi. There is also a touch of ginger and pear to enhance the flavors. We have also included slices of real starfruit to represent the galaxy!

Ingredients: white tea, apple, candied pineapple, candied & dried star fruit slices, pear, ginger, lemongrass, orange peel, blueberry flavor, kiwi, candied mango, safflower

Had this one at work on Friday and I remember thinking it was only just fine. I think the problem is that there are too many fruits, so the flavour gets really muddied and fruit salad-like in a not super great way. You just lose any clarity of flavours and distinctness, which doesn’t make it unpleasant but maybe just a bit forgettable?

I totally get what you’e saying here! Once upon a time I fell into the habit of using several spice blends in every dinner, and that became boring because every dish ended up tasting like the same forgettable melange. Fruit salad is nice, but I typically prefer one or two fruits to dominate.

One of the free single-serving samples with my May subscription package. They recently released a Star Wars collection and I was happy to see it represented in my samples!

This is a nice fruity white tea. It seems like the only flavoring is blueberry, but there are several types of dried and candied fruit chunks included. I don’t feel like I specifically taste blueberry? It’s more on the light and sweet-tart side of things, closer to the pineapple, kiwi, and starfruit pieces.

It’s a very pleasant cuppa, but overall a bit generic for me, so I don’t think I would order it because of that. I did enjoy my mugful though!

Oh yeah, I signed up for the thing where they sent out free Star Wars teas to review, but I don’t really like the sound of either one they sent, so I’ve been procrastinating trying them :P

Some of them sound intriguing to me, particularly that Earl Grey with pear and mango, but I’m trying not to order any more tea this month. :P
