From Trader Nicks Tea Company

Life’s full of tough choices, isn’t it? Thankfully, this tea is the obvious choice if you are looking for a fruity blend that is full bodied and luxurious. Brews a purple color.

Tasting Notes: cherry | coconut | kiwi

Make your poor unfortunate friends jealous with this luxuriously silky fruit tea. The sea witch is known for having an eclectic array of ingredients to use in her potions. So we bottled up some fruit ‘critters’ including coconut, cherry, and kiwi. And then for the final magic touch, we added some butterfly pea blossoms and beetroot so it would brew a purple color.

This fruit tea is unlike any other with its creamy and full bodied texture. Most fruit blends are a bit tart, but since this one has no hibiscus, the fruit taste is much softer.

The color will vary cup to cup depending on how many pea blossoms end up in your tea spoon.

Ingredients: apple, sour cherries, coconut, butterfly pea blossoms, kiwi, cranberry slices, beetroot, flavor

This was a very sweet and fruity cuppa with some really juicy candy-like cherry and kiwi notes with a lot of creaminess of the coconut. It was very, very familiar tasting to me and it took me a long time to figure out what it was making me think of but by the last few swigs I realized it was making me think of a very old discontinued DT blend called Hard Candy. Makes sense – there are some big Jolly Rancher kind of vibes to this tea.

I feel like this is a blend I’ve had before from a few companies, just with butterfly pea flower and maybe a few other ingredients added. I enjoy the cherry flavoring they use. It’s not too tart, just fruity and nice. I did remove the butterfly pea flower and would probably buy a similar blend from a cheaper source instead. The cherry and coconut combo is super refreshing!

Sipdown! (33 | 188)

I’m not big on fruit tisanes, but I actually really enjoyed this one.

It tastes like cherry candy, but specifically like cherry Jolly Ranchers, one of the few cherry-flavored things I actually enjoy. It has a nice tartness to it, but not too much thanks to the lack of hibiscus. Perfect balance of sweet to tart IMO, with the coconut adding a subtle accent.

Tried it hot and cold brewed, and both were scumptious. Would consider buying more of this, shockingly LOL. Now I really want to order more from Trader Nicks, but I’m not doing very well at drinking tea at the moment, so it’ll have to wait heh… :P
