We pressed two cakes from this village in Wuliang mountains this Spring. One was included in our Puerh Tea Club as a 200g cake of wild tea. This one is also from old trees, but trees that have been cultivated.
The environment in this area is very good, the altitude is around 1900m and the forest rich and largely untouched.
The tea itself is vibrant and pure. Thick and full in the mouth with a slight astringency and an aftertaste that lasts on and on. I’m very happy with this tea. The fact that this village is little known has kept the prices reasonable and the trees not overpicked and agrochemical free. I hope we can continue to source tea from this village in the coming years.
