I can’t believe my original note for this tea is from ten years ago. whoa. Now thanks to Michelle, I get to see how my taste buds have changed after ten years. I think I remember these flavors! The chicory wasn’t my thing years ago, and it still really isn’t my thing. When I see a description that says dates, or vanilla, or nuts, or almonds, or dates. I’d really rather those flavors make an appearance rather than something like chicory. The chicory kind of takes over from the rest of that amazing combination. It is a dark cup though, which I like. And a change of flavors when I brew it up once every ten years. :D Getting over the disappointment of what I think these flavors SHOULD be for all of these great ingredients, this is actually a unique flavor profile, especially for no caff, that I wouldn’t mind having around in the cupboards.

You and ashmanra have almost influenced me to the point of walking out of the office and driving straight to Natural Grocers for a fresh box!

tea-sipper

haha – I saw ashmanra mention Vanilla Nut and remembered I had a note for it written up a couple days ago that I didn’t post yet!

ashmanra

I paid just over $4 a box on Vitacost!

A good coffee alternative – the vanilla flavor is not too strong like some of the other Teeccino flavors – in fact it is quite mild.

I went caffeine-free due to tummy issues so no coffee, black tea, white tea or green tea anymore. I have switched to decaf coffee which does still have a tad bit of caffeine and isn’t the best, depending on what the filtration process consists of for each brand so I’m always looking for the next best thing and two people I know recommended this.
I picked up a box yesterday and chose the Vanilla Nut flavour (there were many to choose from) and I have to say, I’m impressed!
I made it my morning cup and it really is a decent replacement for coffee as evidenced by the fact that I feel satisfied.
It’s roasty, nutty, rich, not too strong, not too weak and with my Silk Almond French Vanilla Coffee Creamer, this is just perfect!
A big bonus is that this has actual health benefits with ingredients that are good for you.
Thoroughly enjoyed and will 100% re-purchase.

Flavors: Nutty, Rich, Roasty, Vanilla

I love the Teeccino blends! I wonder if you can drink the Lupicia low caff/no caff teas? Cerisier doesn’t keep me up at night even though it is a very low caffeine option rather than a no caffeine option.

I hope you find lots and lots of good things to enjoy! Green rooibos or honeybush blends can also be really nice.

Jason

Thank-you ashmanra! It’s been a struggle! haha 7 months now, of tummy troubles. My doc is finally on it, I have a colonoscopy and an endoscopy this upcoming Thursday. Not looking forward to it (for obvious reasons lol) but I am looking forward to finding out what’s going on so I can have some kind of treatment for it. Thanks for your recommendations, really appreciate it!

The base was mild and supported the added flavors well. It tastes quite desserty and nice with some almond milk. I’d consider getting more of this one. The resteep tasted exactly like the first.

Sipdown (2165)!

So, right before the database crash I was looking for something in my tea cupboard and I saw that this was added into it… which was weird, because I was pretty sure I had finished the one teabag sample I had of it almost a half a year ago.

Of course it was when I clicked on the tea page to see if I’d just forgotten to remove it from my cupboard that I realized all the tea pages were down. So that whole crash I had the annoying back of my brain feeling of not knowing what the fuck was up with this tea. Turns out I just fully forgot to log it, so oops! Hard to remember everything I thought about this because, like I said, it was about a half a year ago that I tried it. I do remember wishing for more vanilla, and if I can recall correctly I think I also observed that the almond was the same sweet almond that’s present in other blends (which does taste nice).

Overall I don’t think I necessarily had a strongly positive or negative experience with this blend.

Day 12 of the Teeccino advent calendar. This is so much better than French Vanilla. The vanilla flavor is really round and sweet and carries throughout the sip, lingering pleasantly afterwards. The only catch is that I had to (oat milk) latte this to really bring out the flavor fully. But I don’t mind that. I started my day with this and it was a really great start to the day.

Flavors: Chicory, Coffee, Vanilla

Kelmishka

I’m really craving Teeccino after reading all your reviews from their calendar!

Kaylee

lol sorry! I hadn’t had it in a really long time but I’m actually quite enjoying the calendar! There are a few I haven’t enjoyed, but that’s kind of inevitable with any large sampler.

Kelmishka

I almost threw one into your swap calendar, haha!

Kaylee

Great minds think alike :-)

I got tea mail! Thank you, gmathis!

I steeped this last night before bed as a caffeine free treat. When I tore open the pouch, the aroma was much like O’Connor’s Cream from Teageschwendner, available at Tin Roof Teas.
It was chocolate-y and boozy. I had not expected chocolate with the name Vanilla Nut, but the first ingredient is carob.

This steeps up DARK. I mean COFFEE DARK. I am not a coffee drinker, but this reminded me of coffee from the few times I tried it, but with no bitterness, no acid. The fig and dates so sweeten it nicely, and if you add a splash of milk and a dash of sugar, you have a hot cocoa replacement.

This is something I think two of my daughters would like, and one of my neighbors, so I looked into where I could get it and found that my trusty Vitacost has it for less than five dollars.

Next time I order vitamins I will throw in a box to share!

gmathis

The dark chocolate is absolutely wonderful. Candy bar wonderful.

ashmanra

Good to know!

Lexie Aleah

I really enjoy the mocha flavor but they have a lot of good ones.

ashmanra

I will definitely check out their other flavors!

Battling a mild case of the Janu-weary blues—you know, the kind that makes you want to gnarf a whole box of Russell Stover cream centers…so in the interest of health and waistline, I limited myself to a cookie and a cup of this really nifty, chocolate-y, nearly completely guilt-free goodness. A little half and half elevates it to the satisfaction level of a cup of cocoa with figgy aftertaste. Recommended if you’re grumpy. Recommended if you’re not.

I recently finished a box of See’s chocolates and oh, do I miss them ha ha.

Evol Ving Ness

Ayup. I am there with you.

Crowkettle

I an unspeakable amount of bread today. Same source.

Jason

I feel you! I have Seasonal Affective Disorder which fluctuates Winter to Winter. This year hasn’t been too bad (thankfully) but I’ve been eating chocolate like it’s a food group! lol

Martin Bednář

Glad to hear I am not only one with Janu-weary blues. I felt it so strong yesterday, but today it’s much better.

gmathis

I think, without realizing it, I’ve struggled a little with the seasonal affective thing since I was a kid—like teapartyfortwo, some winters more than others.

Lexie Aleah

Love this one as a dessert-y beverage.

ashmanra

I have had a few really bad days as cold weather finally hit and we had a full day of freezing rain. I finished a box of Bissinger’s chocolates and started on a Godiva. Law, how I wish I had a box of See’s….and you know what? I am a grown woman with a credit card. Wonder how long it will take to get here…

Shae

I’ve been sitting on a See’s order since December and was finally tempted enough this morning to hit submit after reading ashmanra’s comment. I’m a grown-up and I can buy my own box of chocolates if I want!

Evol Ving Ness

Haha, people, you are killing me. Thank you for reminding me about the chocolates AND the shortbreads I’ve been thinking about ordering online.

derk

Janu-weary, how have I never heard this? Hang in there!

I live two blocks from See’s. Yee who have little access need to let me know what your favorites are and I can always include some sweet treats with a swap.

gmathis

If I lived near See’s, I’d be …just like a kid in a…

tea-sipper

Oh how I love a box of chocolates… I don’t think I have had See’s though! I guess I just realized in the winter it’s usually about wittling down whatever chocolate is about…like every day…chocolate.

Shae

Just want to add, See’s Dark Salted Caramel might be the best I’ve had. Regretting now that there was only one in my box.

tea-sipper

They do that so you must buy more, Shae. :D

Shae

Well, it WORKED.
