Sampler
GOing through my Plum Deluxe Sampler’s. This one is an all0out herbal tea with Roobios and flavored with pears and cinnamon. By description, it sounds fine.
Unfortunately like many of my sampling of their teas, I find the black tea a weak backing for the flavoring. Usually at least the flavoring part is strong, but in this case not so. I mainly get the cinnamon.
I was craving a spicy evening cup, and I was out of the Good Earth tea a like. This was mild. I actually tasted nothing at all. Since I don’t have a sense of smell I don’t taste much. But I usually get some spice. I sure do with the Good Earth brand. Which is not to say this was awful. It was a cup of warm of water, which is better than a bitter or sour cup of warm water.
The flavor is a little artificial, but I still enjoy it in most sips. I taste a nice fresh pear. I also taste some light spices that go very well with the pear. I also get some alcohol from the flavoring. It’s not my favorite pear tea, but it’s definitely grown on me since my first cup of it. The resteep is pretty decent too. I wish the spices were a little stronger, but they really are nice with the pear.
