ADVENT DAY 8

In the Mood for Love and jasmine tea? I would expect rather rose than jasmine. But let’s try it!

It is indeed delicate green tea, naturally scented as they write on the outer wrapping. The scent was very natural and pleasant and green tea base was delicate and flavorful as well. Slightly hay and grassy. The jasmine was wonderful and not overpowering; even I say, like Roswell Strange, even a bit of fruity notes. I wouldn’t call it grape, but not sure what is it — maybe rather hints of muscatel to me.

Adventaggedon Day 18: Tea 7/7

Nope. No good. I am now officially at max jasmine tea capacity for the month of December…

To be clear, this tea (and the majority of all the other jasmine teas so far) was perfectly lovely. I mean it’s not exciting (because it’s just a jasmine green tea) but it tastes well balanced and the jasmine has a nice sweetness and freshness to it. I’ve just had so many more jasmine teas in the last eighteen days than I am used to having in succession like this and I am feeling burnt out on the flavour. They kind of just get ‘samey’ after a while and I’m the type of person who prefers to reallllyyyyyy keep their tea drinking diverse from day to day so the repetition starts to feel like a lot…

I love a good jasmine tea. But once a month is probably enough for me. Maybe maybe once every two weeks.

Kittenna

Agreed! I think my timelines are similar to Evol’s.

I’m used to green based Jasmine Tea, so I tend to forget the adjustment on the temperature which it’s crucial for brewing white tea. The smell & freshness of Paper & Tea teas just blows my mind. The smell is like if you were taking a night walk through a humid jasmine forest. The flavor besides the obvious jasmine, is like a mossy, earthy & a hint of smoke. The liquor is light vibrant yellow. Although it holds 3 brews quite decently I opted for a bit longer one brew, like my jasmine to knock my cup up.
