Harvest: April 2021
Area: Enshi, Hubei
Cultivar: Enshi Qunti Zhong
Chinese green tea from Enshi in Hubei Province. The leaves come from the local cultivar Enshi Qunti Zhong, from the gardens at 900 meters above sea level, where they are almost always naturally shaded by dense mountain fog.
This is one of the few examples of Chinese green tea, which is deenzymed by steaming. After processing, the tea is finally baked at a low temperature for a while, which gives the tea a grayish jade color.
