First tea from the TTB.

I was excited to see this, as it had been on my list of brands/blends to try for awhile.

Delicious! Creamy vanilla and hazelnut. I added a sugar cube, which tempered the tiny bit of astringency. Really enjoyed this, looking forward to trying it as a latte.

One of my favorite teas for cold dreary days like today. Hazelnut and creme with a hint of floral. The best thing about the tea: sparkles!!! Definitely one you want to drink from a clear container to get ultimate shimmer. Just opened up my large pouch of this today so I could share it with my family.

Flavors: Cream, Flowers, Hazelnut, Roasted Nuts, Vanilla

Interesting combination! I wouldn’t have guessed that hazelnut and jasmine would be a good combo.

Cameron B.

I don’t remember it being particularly jasmine-y, mostly hazelnut and cream. It’s just jasmine petals for aesthetic reasons I think.

It’s not floral in the sense that you taste the scent that the flowers give off, but there’s a flower petal taste to it that I can’t really describe, maybe a mustiness. It’s the same for me with cornflowers. Everyone I know swears they don’t effect taste, but I can taste them. I think I’m hyper aware of florals because of my pollen reactions to several flowers (chamomile, camellias, gardenias, and lilies are the big ones).

Sipdown! (52 | 182)

So this tea was part of a Women’s Day countdown box that I took part in, as it’s from a women-owned small business.

Okay, so the first thing – this tea is SO glittery. Like, too glittery. Even just opening the little tube leads to a mini glitter explosion, and because it’s the tiny edible glitter, it just floats everywhere. I’m sure a lot of people like the glitter aspect, but for me it’s more annoying than it’s worth.

So what about the tea itself? It’s fine. This is a hazelnut and vanilla cream black tea, and it’s pleasant enough, but nothing special (IMO). The base is fairly flavorless but slightly tannic. The hazelnut and cream do blend well together, though I’m not sure I taste vanilla specifically.

Anyway. This isn’t something that I would order, as I feel like the selling point is more of the magic pixie dust glitter aspect than the actual taste. It was fun to try though, and the packaging is certainly beautiful.
