The ketchup didn’t smell like ketchup at first, and really didn’t smell appetizing to me, but after it simmers it is wonderful! I love being able to control how thick it is, how sweet, how tangy, etc.

Ooh, I think I’ll head into the kitchen and make a lavender simple syrup. I bet that would be good in my evening chamomile tea as well! I’ve made some tea flavoured simple syrups, and they’re so good with club soda or other sparkly water. :)

That sounds great! How did you make the tea flavored ones? I have only done cherry and lavender.

Anything you like iced, really! I’ve used some herbal teas, fruit teas, and Royal Abkhazi. I’m thinking of trying La La Lemon and a blood orange tea. :)

Nope no bergamot at all! Just a lovely fruity floral tea that is AMAZING! :)

I made a cup of this a while back, but spilled it all before I got to try it at all. You’ve made me want to go try it now!

Mine got a little too frisky though because one day I noticed one of my sample bags with some flavored tea in it had little kitty bite marks on it! Had to transfer the tea to a tin and now I dont leave any sample bags of tea out anymore haha

Mine seem to love flowery teas—they go nutso over jasmine and try to chew on the leaves. It’s pretty cute, but I try to keep them away from the bags haha

No, it’s just a floral, citrusy tea. I don’t think it is black, either, because it’s got a very dark reddish brown color. I need to check the tea description again….

Violet you were right about the malty flavor! Its subtle though.

That video was awesome! I loved how he gave several ways to make it, i.e: milk, or no milk. Lemon if you want to bring out a bit more of the lemon flavor, what to eat with it, etc. I really did love the tea, and can’t wait to try out the other ideas! (Especially trying it with milk!)

Cold steeped and sweetened it can be pretty awesome! But I admit you have to get everything just right. When I do, it tastes phenomenal.

I love this one and would love to send it to my daughter’s boyfriend, but it’s name would actually be considered quite insulting and provoking where he lives! I will probably order some for me, though!

The Loyalists, who are primarily Protestant, call the city Londonderry. The Republicans, who are primarily Catholic, call the city Derry. The city is divided and the Catholics (bf) live on the other side of barbed wire. It was the site of Bloody Sunday years ago. Nearly everyone of all faiths want everyone to just get along, it is really based on politics and not religion, but there is a handful on each side who are more radical and sometimes violent. When my daughter is there, she and the whole family stay in on certain days because of parades that will lead to “trouble.” Several times in the past two years she has been close to a bomb going off or a riot. They introduce her, “This is The American, she is Protestant!” glowingly, because they are not prejudiced. I laughed and told them we are non-denominational, not Protestant, but they said there are only two things – Catholic, and not Catholic! I once called the city Derry to an Irishman I met here at the beach, and right away he wanted to know why I called the city that, and when I explained he told me that he knew all he needed to know about her BF. The Irish man was, by the way, married to a Brit, and told me that as soon as they ran “her lot” out of the country it would be united again. They both laughed!

Oh, and this tea is EXACTLY the flavor profile he loves, which is why I am thinking about buying it, shipping it to me, and repackaging it with another name on it! He wouldn’t mind the name….much…I think…but I just wouldn’t want to wound anyone!

So I have read over this more in depth. So this is based on a city in London specifically? What about people in other cities in England? Do they just not care? I would like to introduce this to someone I will be seeing in St. Louis next week who is from Manchester – am I safe? LOL
Well I would talk to your daughter about this and ask her if it is okay to send him some even if you changed the name what if he asked where he could get it or what it is called? You could end up having to tell anyway!

You know …. this could just be too old babe. It may not be fresh enough this was one of the first teas I got when I first started drinking tea 9 months or more ago and I know I sent it to you ages ago as well.

It is possible, although I have older teas from you that still are just fine. I suspect that the remaining flavour was too weak to hold up in the travel mug, so I will try it next time steeped normally!

I like that one too. I steeped it a 2nd time and put in the fridge and it was really good cold too.

Ooo this one would be a good one iced.

Its nice if you use the 2nd steeping because its not as strong and works well cold too. I’ve been trying to make the most use out of my tea.

That’s good though! I try to but I always forget about resteeping the leaves after I dump them.

I think the berry flavor on this one is strawberry, it’s very strong!
