18 Tasting Notes
YUM! This is perfect for today! It is chilly outside and inside today! My roommates and I decided not to turn on our heat for a few more weeks. Out of nowhere we got a bit of a cold snap! It was 59 degrees in our house this morning! Anyway, this tea is perfect for today! I have been all snuggled up working on a project on Austria for my Geography of Europe class. This tea makes this project even better! Something about this tea reminds me of my childhood or something. I just love it!
This tea is decent. I am not a huge fan of rooibos, so that probably has something to do with the average score I gave this tea. I do not really get a pumpkin taste, but there is a fairly pleasant cinnamon taste. This tea is also very sweet. I did not add any sugar, but it almost tastes like I did. I will probably not reorder this tea when I am finished with it, but it is still a nice evening, especially as I get more excited for fall!!
I really like this tea! I won a free sample of it from Cuppa Crew Tea, and I was very excited to try it! I got this tea a few days before Mardi Gras, and I definitely drank it all day! It is really good! It definitely has the sweet vanilla and cinnamon that you would expect from a king cake! The base did not get bitter on me. I really like this tea and will be reordering it when I run out! Nothing like a little King Cake to put you in a good mood!
Thanks to Della Terra Teas for this free sample! I won it in a contest! It was so exciting! Now on to the tea.
The first time I made this tea, I skimped on the amount of tea I steeped. I immediately regretted it, for the flavor was just not strong enough. I knew it would be much better if I added more leaves, but of course, I was running late to class so I did not have time to fix it.
I finally had time to try this tea again steeping a little more tea. IT IS DELICIOUS!! This tea tastes like you are actually eating a slice of apple pie. I added a little bit of honey to the tea, and it definitely helped it taste even more like pie! Now usually I am not a huge fan of apple flavored teas, but Della Terra definitely did a good job with this one! I love it!
This tea was very good! Thanks to Dinosara for the sample! This tea tastes almost exactly like the Green Almond Cookie tea that I have. The only noticeable difference is that the green almond cookie is a green tea and this is a black. It tastes very almondy and warm! I really like it. This is a very sweet tea and is a perfect afternoon tea. I generally bring a t-sak of this to lunch no Tuesdays and Thursdays when I have class all day. I then steep it while I eat my hurried lunch at take the tea to my Asian History class. This tea definitely makes that class more enjoyable, even though I already love it!
This tea was many firsts for me. It was my first swap, my first experience with della terra teas, and my first tea with sprinkles. It. Is. Awesome. Shout out to Jackie T. for the sample!
This tea is absolutely delicious! It really does taste warm and caramel-y and marshmallow-y ! I was a bit apprehensive before trying this tea because I am not a huge fan of marshmallows, but it did not disappoint! I haven’t even finished the sample yet and already ordered this and some other della terra teas.
This is definitely a tea I would recommend to someone! I also plan on giving it to all of my friends who claim that they do not like tea in my efforts to convert everyone I know into avid tea drinkers!
I loved this tea and cannot wait to try some more of della terra’s teas!
I LOVE THIS TEA!
I first tried this at the Smith-Byrd Tea House in Prattville, Alabama. They have this wonderful endless tea policy! The tea pots are only two cup pots, but you can get unlimited pots of tea and you can ask for a different flavor whenever you like! They said that this is so you can try (and hopefully buy!) several different teas, and that is exactly what I did! But I digress.
This tea is delicious! To me, it tastes exactly like an almond cookie, almost like marzipan! My mother on the other hand thought that it tasted more like almond extract. This is a very sweet tea. I needs no sweeteners. The texture of this tea is incredible as well. The flavor is so full and bold that I feel like I am actually eating a cookie! I love it! Some people may think that this tea is too sweet, but I think it is perfect!
This tea is also good for a few re-steepings. I believe I have re-steeped it two times without it loosing flavor, but generally I only re-steep it once because sometimes the green tea gets a little bitter. Over all, this is a fabulous tea!
EDIT:
So I realized that the last time I logged this tea it was mainly a description of my steeping process. The flavors in this tea are wonderful! The green tea is not especially strong or noticeable, but it serves as a good foil for the lavender. This tea contains just the right amount of lavender. It completely relaxes me, and it definitely got me through finals! But back to the flavors…this is a tea that I can taste through my entire mouth. It feels warm and homey and I love it! I would definitely recommend this tea!
I have been drinking this tea almost non stop this winter! I have fairly early classes this semester, so I make a cup of tea before bed, and then when I get up in the morning I just pop it in the microwave for a minute or so and then I dash off to class!
I really like this tea. It is not as astringent as some other black teas that I have had before, and I am still trying to decide how I feel about it. As far as a good breakfast tea goes, I will definitely be reordering this one when I am finished!
I drink this tea with a spoonful of honey and a dash of milk. It tastes exactly like you would imagine a typical breakfast tea to taste. It is warm and full bodied, though not as strong as I was almost hoping. It is very good though! Generally when I make it, I steep it for 4 min in boiling water.
