From Dollar Tea Club

Try this sweet apple spice is a “heirloom” recipe because it was created by a Master Blender in homage to an old family recipe passed down by his Dutch ancestors. The blend offers lengthy notes of fruit, tempered by natural cinnamon and ginger to brew a cup that can be enjoyed hot on cold winter’s days, or chilled over ice on a hot summer’s morning. Either way, brew a pot today and raise a cup to the days and recipes of yore.

High quality tea tastes good and natural flavors do not mask the natural taste of the high grown Ceylon tea. (The norm for many making flavored tea is to use overpowering artificial flavors, which can be used to hide lower quality tea). Natural flavors do not leave an aftertaste giving the tea a clean and true character. For many this is a refreshing change.

Amaranth, oh, Amaranth, wherefore art thou Amaranth? Only in this tea I see. Though does it belong? Just barely, me thinks. It is tangy, yet has an interesting nutty note. This is the first I’ve seen the use of Amaranth in a tea. It is… unique. As is this tea as a whole. Drinkable but not really to my liking.

There was a AQ2T blend that I recall having amaranth, but I don’t remember which one.

Skysamurai

It’s such a unique ingredient. Because of the nuttiness, it makes me wonder how it would pair with hojicha.

Dustin

I haven’t had it on it’s own, so I’m unfamiliar with the flavor it brings. Curious now!
