Roasted, earthy hojicha pairs with cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, creamy coconut, and a sprinkling of pumpkin seeds for a warm, softly spiced, earthy and sweet hug in a mug reminiscent of scones with that drizzle and hit of creamy icing on top we know and love!

Steeped this one up earlier in the week and thought it was pleasant. There are other hojicha blends that Deb creates that I prefer over this one, but it’s got a gentle spice note and a nice hint of maple that are enjoyable. I wish it had more pumpkin or, even, just pumpkin spice. The spices that are present, like cardamom, aren’t actually traditional inclusions in pumpkin spice blends.

A nice, toasty cinnamon hojicha, with some fruity background apple notes. I don’t really taste pumpkin/pumpkin spice here, but I still like it.

So to me, this is very similar to Deb’s cinnamon raisin hojicha.

It has the same sweet cinnamon sort of flavor, maybe with a bit of extra spicing from the pumpkin pie spice. The apple and pumpkin seeds don’t seem to be adding anything IMO. I do appreciate that there isn’t any sugar added to this blend, but at the same time I prefer the other one heh heh…

Pumpkin spice hojicha, but a bit light on the pumpkin spice. Also, why coconut? Not that I taste it anyway.

Placed a small fall order with Deb, which arrived yesterday. This is a tasty flavored hojicha, but not quite pumpkin. I guess that makes sense, as there is nothing that would give it a squashiness, just a pumpkin spice flavor. That’s basically what this is- a cinnamon hojicha. Tasty, but not something I need to get again.
