Earl, meet Sugar Cookie. A cookie party isn’t complete without a sweet and buttery sugar cookie the same way a tea party isn’t the same with a great Earl Grey on the menu. A classic meets a classic in this delicious sweet black tea blend of bergamot, maple, and cinnamon with a touch brown sugar and pretty pink cornflower petal “sprinkles” for that extra dash of special, fancy, and pizzazz!

Certified organic ingredients: Black Tea, Natural Bergamot, Canadian Maple, Coconut, Cinnamon, Brown Sugar, Pink Cornflowers

Handcrafted in Toronto, Canada

Steeping instructions: 2 teaspoons at 212F for 4-6 mins

I actually really like Deb’s lavender blends. They’re always super bold, and this one is no exception. The lavender is in your face and sharp, and there’s just a hint of cookie sweetness.

Finishing this one off as an iced milk tea.

I hoped the milk would mellow out some of the earthiness of the black tea, which it did a little. I’m also now picking up on the cinnamon, which I didn’t taste before in the plain cuppa. So that does help to make it a bit more cookie-like.

It’s pleasant this way, but still not something I feel I would need to restock. Which is fine by me, considering how many Earls I have already, heh heh…

I love this one! It is a beautiful tea with specks of maple sugar, cinnamon bark, and pink cornflowers running through it. Also, the bergamot in this blend, like all Deb’s earl grey blends, is super noticeable.

I enjoy this one with or without milk. It is super tasty! I am not sure if it tastes like a sugar cookie? It tastes like a black tea with bergamot and a hint of maple/brown sugar. I am not getting too much of the cinnamon or coconut notes with this one! But I do smell it as I drink the tea.

I think this would be perfect if it had some vanilla in it! :)

This tea immediately appealed to my inner sugar cookie fiend. I also love Earl Grey, so that was a bonus.

First and foremost, Deb uses a very solid Earl Grey base. The bergamot essence is always incredibly fragrant and undeniable whenever it’s used in a blend. In the case of Earl’s Sugar Cookie, the flavour is predominantly Earl Grey, which is to be as expected. The coconut appears towards the end, contributing a creamy, almost buttery mouthfeel that helps reinforce the idea of cookies. Personally, I would say it feels more in line with shortbread cookies as opposed to sugar cookies, but the flavour is enjoyable just the same.
