From DAVIDsTEA

Soothing and smoothing

People have been buzzing about mulberry leaves for all sorts of reasons lately, but we just can’t stop talking about how good they taste. Combined with macadamia nuts, they make for a tea that is sweet, complex, and slightly earthy. Do they really have tons of other benefits, as the health freaks claim? We’re too happy to care. Caffeine-free. (MK Kosher)

Ingredients: Mulberry leaf, organic macadamia nuts, natural flavouring*.

I find the name of this tea misleading. It tastes great and the macadamia nut flavour is great. It does have mulberry leaves but the name just makes me think that it will be a berry flavoured tea

I was very surprised by this tea. It smells absolutely delicious before it is brewed, and it brews to a swampy green colour. After about 7 minutes of steeping, it tastes creamy, smooth, and nutty. I found the tea flavourful and satisfying. It certainly did curb hunger and the cravings I have had for carbohydrate rich meals. I highly recommend this tea to anyone looking for a rich tea to drink any time of day.

This tea is surprising. It smells and tastes like cake. I like it really much!

Upon hearing that it was a favourite among the DAVIDsTEA employees, I decided to give it a try. Boy was I wrong. I really did not like the taste of this tea at all. I felt like I was drinking spinach :(

I think this tea works well for after-dinner; it’s got the nutty sweetness of macadamia nuts, mixed in with the earthy, rich tones of the mulberry leaves. My only regret is that steeping it longer doesn’t seem to bring out more of the rich mulberry taste, but otherwise, great! Apparently it only comes around once a year, so I’ll have to stock up!

I loved this one with my first cup but as time goes on I’m falling out of love with it :s It tastes a bit like rich pie crust but there is some “other” quality to it underneath that just tastes off to me, presumably the mulberry leaves. It is very minor but its there. Maybe because it tastes close enough to tea that I don’t mentally recognize it as “other” so it just seems off or slightly “weedy”?
Still a nice cup though, just would’t buy more than 50g next time ;)

Smells delicious and tastes great! A little mild to my tastes but good if I just want a cup to warm myself up.
