I put this one in the fridge overnight, and the flavor this morning is pretty pleasant. The flavor is mostly green rooibos and lemon. I would have liked to see some blueberry here, but there was just one blueberry in my sample, and it didn’t really add any flavor. I guess there wasn’t much wow factor here, but it’s decently tasty and refreshing. I wanted more complexity and more blueberry.

Cuppageek Advent Day #5

Since this has no caffeine, I saved it for this evening. I dislike red rooibos very much but enjoy a lot of blends with green. I doubt I have ever had it by itself.

This was an enjoyable cup and my husband had some as well and said he liked it. I did find it to be more lemon blueberry than blueberry lemon. My husband said he did not taste blueberry, and the prominent flavors for me were lemongrass, lemon, and green rooibos. And that was fine with me, as I really enjoyed it. I think Harney’s Blueberry Green has a real PUNCH of blueberry flavor and I was drinking that at supper, so maybe that is why the blueberry seems muted to me.

A tea I got from derk and when she wrote that this got green rooibos in I knew I want to try it as soon as possible. Prepared in French press for family, so 4 tsp — 1000 ml. Not sure if good ratio; but I have one or two tea spoons left for preapring my own cup later.

I really enjoy the visual of this tea. Long lemongrass pieces, green rooibos looks great as well, blue pieces of cornflowers, nice rosehip/cranberry pieces. Everything seems nice and fresh, not old at all.

The scent is amazing and I understand why derk’s housemate liked it. It seems freshly citrusy, lemongrass and hints of blueberry jam. The blueberries are indeed on the sweet-jammy note, which I don’t mind and I prefer that in tea though. There is some mild sourness and nice lemongrass note. The blueberries fall behind though a bit. Maybe they will appear with colder tea?

Thank you derk!

The music video reminded me of MTV’s hey day, back in the early 80s. : )

That are Czech 90’s. Finally we were available to get “classic” songs from abroad, so I am pretty sure it was an inspiration.

White Antlers – I thought the same thing about the video! I was transported back to early college days!

The aroma tickled my housemate as I poured her a cup from the pot. She’s definitely into it. The lemongrass reigns in this caffeine-free blend. I often find lemongrass sharp on my palate. Here it’s well tempered by jammy-sweet blueberry. I lean toward tart blueberry flavor versus jammy but I found this to be a totally pleasant profile.

Nice! I just placed a Cuppageek order and almost got this one! Now I wish I had! But I got lemon swirl and blueberry crisp, so I’m good!
