The mint was weak in this cup and the chocolate was even less. The rooibos wasn’t prominent, which I count as good, but even so I dumped the cup half way through. I’m done with this one.

This one was from the group Bluebird order a while back! I’ve been sipping it a couple times, but this is my first tasting note for it. I love all the incarnations of chocolate mint teas. This one SHOULD have adorable chocolate heart sprinkles, but I couldn’t see any in the blend. The flavor is solid though — equal parts rooibos, mint, chocolate (from SHELLS — very happy Bluebird uses the shells for their chocolate component!) Creamy, sweet, fresh, bright, perfect as a dessert cup! I’m not sure why there are so many bad tasting notes for this one. It is as promised in my experience: chocolate and mint. Points for using cacao shells but I remember the mint in other teas being much crisper.

The scent of this blend is so delicious — mint, vanilla, chocolate. It really does smell like mint chocolate ice cream! After water has been added, it smells much more earthy, woody and minty… sharper, almost… but I can still smell the chocolate.

Sipping… the first thing I taste is mint paired with some rooibos. It almost seems like it is going to be too sharp, but it slowly changes into something smooth and creamy. The chocolate flavor itself is subtle, but the creaminess is lovely! This tea has such a nice balance of rooibos and mint. The mint isn’t too overwhelming for someone who isn’t crazy about it. This is really yummy! I would definitely repurchase this in the future.

Sipdown!! (194)

Another tea from the amazing Nattie (thank you!!!). The mint in this is delicious and refreshing but once again the chocolate flavor comes from cacao. Good, but not for me.

Thanks to Nattie I received a nice sample of this.

Clean and sweet but without being syrupy. The mint and Roobis keep the tea earthy and fresh and the chocolate adds a nice roasted and nutty deep sweetness. A really pleasant, mild tea that isn’t limited to just dessert.
