Hmmm, page not found—removed or link broken.
Also, the bullet journal looks like a lot of work. Does anyone’s brain really work like that?
I havent even done daily logs yet. Just one page to do a mood tracker and today I started a birthday page. It takes a long time but its fun to be creative.
Totally w you about being creative, though looking at the bullet journal instructions on their website, the BJ process looks quite structured and linear which to me is the opposite of creativity. Or maybe that is the thing—to create a rigid structure in which one can be creative within certain guidelines.
And on a different note, would you be interested in going for brunch here one of these weekends that you are heading out to your sister’s in the west end—and we can finally at long last do our swap f2f? https://www.emmascountrykitchen.com
Thing is I like crafting but have never been very good at creating something from nothing. I always need some sort of guide. So like I have been needlepointing since I was 7 years old, even been paid to do it, and that’s a creative outlet that has worked for me because I have painted canvases and I just have to do all the needlework. Adult coloring books also right up my alley because there is already the outlines and I just need to fill it in however I like. Even paint nites I enjoyed because I had a clear image and instructions for what I was working towards. Bullet journalling is the latest find because everyone can do something different with their journal and since I tend to be a list writer anyways, this is a fun and creative means of doing that. I suppose it is not for everyone but I have been enjoying it so far (when I am not worried about ruining it, that is lol).
Also, I have wanted to try Emma’s for a while so we can definitely meet for brunch one day. Though, I already gave Sil your stuff so that you would have it when you met up with her.
Interesting how we all do the creative process differently. Sometimes I like a bit of structure, but to me, often it feels a bit of like a chokehold. I like a bit of guidance from time to time, like for example, I recently took a drawing class to learn basics, beginners 101-like. Most of the time though I like to have a pile of colours and tools and for someone to say go!
Oh, I misunderstood. I thought that she had the various purchases only and our swap was to happen whenever. All good. We can still go for brunch at Emma’s when it works conveniently for you. I’d love to meet you in person. From what I understand, there are lineups, so it is best to get there right at opening, at 9 on weekends. Or perhaps much later when/if the rush is over. Or we could go for brunch somewhere else.
I have been bullet journaling for over a year now. At first, I was spending hella crazy time trying to make it look pretty like on Pinterest. Now, I do fairly basic with creative thrown in. I am a HUGE list person and love to make those kind of spreads when I have a bit of free time to be creative. I also use it as kind of a scrapbook
Lots of times, I just use stickers or washi tape to decorate. (I am obsessed with stickers, lol)
