Tea of the Week for April 3, 2023!
A delicious blend of organic Young Hyson & red berries! Strawberries, raspberries & a touch of cranberry essence together – create a delicious, sweet-tart berry note that pairs beautifully with the full-bodied, fresh flavor of Young Hyson.

more about this tea: my inspiration for this tea is the season! Springtime is here (although, admittedly, up until this week, we’ve been experiencing some still chilly weather which is just fine as far as I’m concerned!) Here in the Pacific Northwest, it’s been raining a lot (nothing new for us) & that tends to cool things down a bit, making it perfect hot tea weather – but with some springtime flavor with delicious red berry notes!
So refreshing – it invigorates my taste buds!
to brew: shake the pouch well before you measure. There are tiny particles of red berries in this blend (for the most part, I try to crush up the berries so that they are about the same size as the tea leaves. Some large pieces of freeze-dried fruit still remain – but the smaller bits are more desirable for this blend so that you don’t get one huge berry with a couple of tea leaves.)
Once you’ve shaken the pouch to redistribute the fruit bits, measure out 3g of leaf to 12oz of very hot water (175°F). Allow to steep for 2 minutes. Strain & allow to cool for at least 5 minutes. Enjoy!
Serving suggestion: this tea is fantastic as a cold-brew, but I also enjoyed it as a hot cuppa. I like it unsweetened – but if you prefer a sweeter cup – or just would like a treat: try this with a drizzle of honey because it is so good with honey!
