Hojicha charcoal hay up front with a slight milk chocolate finish. As a Hojicha, it’s nice, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to purchase more.

Served hot in the rocking chairs before bedtime. The chocolate is so good, not strong but enough to mimic the feeling of having a hot cocoa before bed, which I can’t do because the caffeine and sugar would keep me up.

I have already repurchased by request a full pouch of this for Superanna, to whom I had gifted a sampler. I still have some of the plain Hojicha and I was just going to stick with that, but this cuppa tonight is making think I will probably reorder this one. I will try to behave and wait until my cupboard numbers are lower and I have fewer samples and fewer past date teas.

Love the idea of pre-bed rocking chair time!

We love it – especially before the mosquitos come out in droves, which will be soon!

Finding this one to be quite meh unfortunately.

I’m having it iced in oat milk and it just doesn’t compare to the banana version. I’m not sure I really get chocolate at all, and there’s a weird chalkiness to it. I don’t know if that’s coming from the flavoring or what.

Anyway, it’s not terrible or anything but definitely not one I would reorder…

This one didn’t land for me…

The hojicha powder base is tasty here because it’s the same one used throughout, but the chocolate is barely a whisper – and for how mild and easy to miss it is you really might as well just be drinking the plain hojicha powder. At least it’s more of a cacao chocolate though versus waxy dollar store chocolate. Some semblance of a win there…

I didn’t have great expectations purely because I found the normal chocolate matcha painfully underwhelming, so at least I wasn’t surprised here.
