drank Alpine Punch by DAVIDsTEA

I’ve been having a miserable week. Attended a burial on Saturday, had a long talk with my mother in which she pointed out how she wants to mend familial relationships while simultaneously brushing off my feelings and concerns, and have just been generally unmotivated.

I placed an order with DAVIDsTEA for their winter collection last Friday, thinking it would get here sometime by the end of this week. Imagine my surprise when I came home to find it last night! What a fantastic pick-me-up!

I chose Alpine Punch for my work tea this morning. And I am in love with the smell of the dry tea! It’s like someone mixed pistachios and ripe fruit together; I wanted to eat it straight out of the bag! Steeped, it starts off fruity and nutty and devolves into creaminess and finally coconut!

The taste of the brewed tea, however, fell short of expectations. Nuts. Some smoothness from the coconut, but bitter nuttiness all the way. Not bad … I’m just not loving liquid almond tea.

I became interested in tea spring 2013, when some friends of mine brought me to a local tea shop. I’ve been experimenting since, and am absolutely in love! I am especially fond of blended teas, and I’m a sucker for gimicky flavors.

My cupboard is stocked with a lot of DAVIDsTEA at the present, although I do have a few teas from some local shops. I’m looking forward to branching out and trying teas from different vendors and shops. Let the journey begin!
