16 Tasting Notes
This isn’t a taster’s tea – but that doesn’t mean it is terribly unpleasant. It’s comparable to a very toasty oversteeped green tea. After 3 days of headaches that could not be eased by painkillers/ stretching/ hot showers, I drank a cup of this figuring the headaches must be hormone related. It cleared things up perfectly and gave me relief the rest of the night.
Flavors: Bitter, Green, Sour, Toasted, Wood
Preparation
I love this tea. It’s sweet, satisfying, and cakey tasting but not too cakey. It is still distinctly a black tea. There’s kind of a pleasant vegetable note on the palate that comes from the beetroot. You can overdo it though, I had 4 cups at once one time and got very sick of it and couldn’t touch it for a few months. That’s ok though… we’re back on good terms and I happily partake in it from time to time. It’s nice on a winter morning. Give the leaves a little stir while they are steeping to make sure the white chocolate bits dissolve.
Flavors: Chocolate, Cream, Maple, Sweet, Tannic
Preparation
I was incredibly excited for this, being a lover of mint and especially white chocolate. But this fell a bit short. Even sweetened, there’s a strange acrid overtone to it. I think the white chocolate lovers like me will be somewhat disappointed, but herbal tea lovers and those who like menthol will like this.
Flavors: Cocoa, Dry Grass, Mint, Perfume, Spearmint, Sweet
