Sip down! Mixed with a bit of H&S Stanley’s blend to up the robustness. Enjoyed my cup, but also happy to remove the tea from my Steepster cupboard. I am never going to clean out my cupboard at the rate I’m going.

Malty, yummy. I don’t think I’ve tried straight Darjeeling yet, so I can’t notice the effect it has on the blend here, besides the blend being slightly less robust than I would expect.

Don’t know how I haven’t logged this tea before. I suppose I do most of my steepster activity while at work, and this is an at-home tin, for now.

This is fantastic!

My first cup, and I really like it. Brews much darker than I expected. As other reviewers noted, it’s very vegetal, very grassy. Smells earthy. Just a very green cup, overall.

I love it so far. Let’s see how the caffeine hits me.

Other half of the last 鐵觀音 packet.

Also had a rose oolong bubble tea with grass jelly last night. Awesome!

I like this steeped in cooler water. Maybe even 80 or so.

Was too lazy to wait for the boiling water to cool, so I just poured in tap water and topped off with the boiling. I don’t regret it, but it IS a different experience. I may have put in a bit too much cold water, though.

Bumping the rating, because I am growing fonder of this tea with every cup.

Next time I drink this will be a sipdown, if I’m understanding the terminology correctly. I like smelling the brewed tea better than drinking it.

edit: No, this was my sipdown! Gave the rest to a coworker :)

I really ought to branch out from this as my morning tea. I just love it so :(

Another foil 鐵觀音 packet! Should’ve taken a picture before tearing. Ah well.

I have a lot to learn about tea. So far, I know that I love drinking it. Black tea with milk to wake me up in the morning, endless cups of green tea at Chinese restaurants with friends in the evening, spiced tea with sugar for an indulgence, herbal tea with honey to calm me down…TEA!

likes: vanilla, cinnamon, spices

less-liked: fruity teas, artificial additives (although I might be okay if I don’t know about them? I don’t know yet).

I’d like to blend my own tea someday, with essential oils and good quality plain tea and the like. The idea of my own earl grey or monk’s blend is really enticing.
