180 Tasting Notes
Very generous sample from Lariel. Tastes like Cherry Chocolate Cordial! I was actually pretty surprised on how good it is considering I oversteeped it a little. Will try a shorter steeping time next time.
Does not re-steep well.
Preparation
This sample is from Lariel. Taste profile is pretty similar to DTs Mint Chocolate. I only have enough for one cup (8-10oz) so to be on the safe side, I steeped this in 6oz of boiling water. It is very minty, very chocolatey but the rooibos taste still prevails by a tad. I guess, using a smaller amount of water helped in getting more of the mint and chocolate taste. Either way, I’m happy with it.
Did not re-steep well, but I was expecting that.
This one’s from jeweledthumb, thank you. I can taste a little bit of the Sauvignon Blanc - smooth, not too fruity, and not too tart. It has a very mild astringency to it, just like the real thing. The cooler it gets, the tastier it becomes. I guess, since it’s based off white wine, then it’s better cold?
Thanks jeweledthumb for this tea. If I remember correctly, this tea tastes very similar to Wegman’s Chocolate Chai. Unfortunately, I can’t compare the two since I’ve been out of the Chocolate Chai for a while now. This is a very smooth, very chocolatey drink with a just right taste of coconut and a subtle hint of cinnamon and vanilla. Would definitely be a good drink on a stormy night ;)
Preparation
Thanks Stephanie. I can see this as my go to tea for relaxation. I will have to try it as a ‘wake up’ tea. Since I am also an avid coffee drinker, my morning tea is usually black. I love the combination of citrus and Guayusa base.
